Anyone going to play on PC/ XBone?

Is it really free to play or is it I buy the game and they want more money to get stuff in the game?

The beta was so-so.

I had to complete my survey this morning. Overall, it felt very clunky regardless of character.

It kinda reminds me of Guild Wars in the sense that the "town" (which actually had nothing in it for the beta) served as a hub to create a group and then once the group is full, you are sent into a quest.

The ability to play as a villain is kinda neat I guess. You have a top down view of the zone and can hurl mortars, build barriers and more, all at the behest of the hero party. Ranged characters seem to have an advantage right now, especially when the villain is another human and not AI.

I'll play because it will be F2P. Overall it felt quite chaotic but with minor bugs. As far as I know, the XBone beta is over for now. They had very specific times of day to play because they were monitoring the data in real-time.

Wait, is this a MOBA like League of Legends but with the different gameplay? Can't listen to the videos because I am at work but I see a hero rotation?

It'll be F2P with little items you can purchase - mainly cosmetic. Other micro-transactions involve things like exp boosts and such. They are (allegedly) not putting anything in the real money system that gives a gameplay advantage.

The beta would rotate your heroes, or you could pick them from who you wanted to play as.

It is not a MOBA, but more of an online only/instanced group experience. Towns serve as hubs to gather a party and each quest is then "instanced" for said group when the zone loads, if that makes sense.

Sounds interesting. If its a different concept than anything I played before I will give it a go on the computer. Love when games come out with new concepts.

ALso, PC and XBone are cross-compatible for this release. We will smash faces and set the world on fire.

That is pretty cool. Hate the divider between computer/console gamer. Just let me play with everyone dammit.

When does it release?

TBD - but after Windows 10 launches since it was "designed" for it. They keep changing the date. Last I read, it is still scheduled for 2015. Probably late summer/early fall.
