Netflix

Hey guys, so Netflix has just launched in Australia for the first time last month. I'm halfway through a free months trail, and am wondering if it's worth hanging onto afterwards. From what I can gather we don't get the same content here as the US, but it's looking good so far.

So yeah, fill me in? Should I keep it? Or no?

Netflix is as essential to me as a game console.

It's worth it.
Just don't get a lifetime sub if they offer it

Netflix is one of the best things to happen to the Internet since porn. I can't believe you guys didn't get it until now.

Netflix is worth it

I've loved the service ever since I got it. Highest of recommendations :y:

We don't get all the american stuff either but if you're watching it through a console you can manipulate the ip to get the American content apparently. I did wonder why you had bought all the breaking bad stuff when it was on Netflix.

But yes, for the price it's great and they seem to add enough new series often enough for me to stay interested in keeping. All the original shows are good too although some of the standup sucks.

I find myself switching between Netflix and Amazon Prime every six months or so. I'm currently on Netflix but I will be going back to AP at the start of June so I can watch the new seasons of Vikings and Black Sails; hopefully AP will have the fourth season of Walking Dead by that time, and at some point season 4 of Hell on Wheels as well.

Also you should post this in the casual forum where more people will see it and reply

Def get it. But make sure to hook up your VCR to tape shows/movies that will be expiring soon.

I get netflix cheaper than most I believe for having been a long term customer. You should find a fiend with it willing to share their login so one of you pays for prime and the other for netflix. Did that with my brother for a while before he cancelled prime the cheap cunt.

El Vaquero de Infierno 04-25-2015 09:14 AM

Yeah, but I wouldn't want to share my Prime account as you never know if that other person might start using your Amazon account to buy things.

Wish id have thought of that back then

Netflix is definitely worth it. Depending which shows you view and how much you watch, supplement it with Hulu Plus and/or Amazon Prime.

"Cut the cord" (cable) nearly 6 years ago and haven't looked back.

I think Australians use Betamax.

Shisen Kopf 04-25-2015 04:10 PM

Yeah but they prob call it something goofy like betaroongolla

Tazz Dan 04-25-2015 06:29 PM

Yeah, we don't have Amazon Prime, or Hulu I think. I could be wrong with Hulu though.
