Totally forgot about DK Tropical Freeze which is also awesome.
Alright it's go time. Gonna cut a sick WiiU promo, Starting with Mario Brothers WiiU.
So like, me and my friends had a blast playing New Mario Brothers on Wii together. Collecting all the star coins and such. But when I played by myself, I only completed a few worlds before I stopped. I beat the WiiU sequel in a few days because every stage felt like it had something different and unique all the way through. It was a blast. Plus, it's got mother fucking Yoshi making his return, stone cold stunning everyone in Bowser's Castle.
3D world I do not own but played for a while at a friend's house and it was insanely fun. Probably one of the best mario games ever made. It has the format of the 2d games, where you're going from one point to another, but with 3d movement. That doesn't sound like much, but with Nintendo's creativity they just have a lot of cool fun stuff in there. It's better if I don't say anything more, and you just experience it for yourself.
Wind Waker HD
You want Zelda, son? Well hell, play wind waker. Looks Gorgeous in HD and they adjusted some things so that some of the tedious stuff from the original is no longer tedious.
Mario Kart is great like always. And like the New Mario Brothers game, this one just felt "fresher" and more unique than when I played Mario Kart wii for the first time. I dunno if it was the enhanced visuals of the WiiU, or the gravity gimmick or what, but this one is just more fun to me. Battle sucks now. That's the only crappy part. On the plus side there is some awesome dlc that adds Link as a playable racer and adds tracks inspired by other games including Zelda.
I haven't played Tropical Freeze yet, but it's basically a bigger and better sequel to DKC, which is a phenomenal platformer.
Already said all I need to say on Bayonetta 2. When I bought mine, it actually came with the first game. I dunno if that was a limited thing or what, but 2 awesome games for the price of one is something to consider.
Tekken Tag 2 is probably the best Tekken game ever. Has the full cast, and the WiiU version has exclusive Nintendo character costume customization parts.
NES Remix 1 & 2 are awesome digital releases which I will just post videos for, to rock your socks.

Then there's the stuff on the way.
Mario Maker, which lets you create your own 8-bit Mario levels without having to know how to hack a rom.

Yoshi Wooly World is llanding soon, which looks so cool with it's yarn aesthetic. I mean Kirby Epic Yarn did it first, but it works so much better with HD. It's a nintendo platformer. I don't even have to sell it.
Splatoon is like team fortress, but instead of killing dudes, you're covering the map in paint. Reports from my bud on the beta are that it's really fun.
NEW MOTHER FUCKING STARFOX BACK IN THE ARWINGS BLOWING SPACE MONKEY MECHAS OUT OF THE MOTHER FUCKING SKY COMING OUT THIS FUCKING YEAR
Freedom Planet
Ok, so this one needs a little explaining, because I'm not sure if you are familiar with Treasure. They were a company back in the 16-bit era that released crazy awesome games like Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Heady, Ikaruga and Alien Soldier. Their distinguishing characteristic was how they threw a ton of shit at you at a fast pace. Watch a Let's Play of Alien Soldier, for instance. There's something like 30 bosses cause they throw 3 or 4 at you in a single stage.
Freedom Planet is basically Sonic the Hedgehog if it was designed by Treasure. Even the characters look like sonic characters. But it combines the speed and level design of Sonic, with the BAT SHIT INSANITY of a treasure game.

Xenoblade Chronicles X
I haven't played any of the Xenoblade on wii, because like a lot of people, I've become pretty jaded with JRPGs. On account of most of them sucking. But I keep encountering more and more people who tell me the Xenoblade is super good and I should play it. Probably gonna get the wii game on the cheap at amazon, and if I like it, spring for the Wii U.
Finally, Wii U has backwards compatability so you can play all the games you have, and any that you missed out on, right on the Wii U. It's not upscaled or anything. Still in SD, but the fact that you can play wii games gives it a big leg up on it's competitors.
