Should Kane get a "thank you" title run?
Obviously deserves it, and I think they could totally build him back up and put the mask back on as one last run as the monster in an attempt to win the big won. Could be a great story.
|
I think Kane should put the mask back on for one last go, but that's before he is ended by Luke Harper in an angle where Harper becomes the new monster of WWE.
|
Yes, I'd be on board with that idea. Have him defeat Seth Rollins at some point, and then have Kane go on an improbable run. Beating lots of guys cleanly such as Big Show, Randy Orton, and even John Cena. Finally, you can have Rollins get a 'return' victory at some point and officially end Kane's career.
|
The guy is supplemental right now. He's really good at it, usually it's a GM spot with Brad Maddox or Commisioner Slaughter just with a different title. He was booking quite a bit the last few RAWs and on top of that duty he wrestles a lot. I think when Daniel Bryan gets back and stays healthy he should feud again with him. I enjoyed that whole story, also the Team Hell No shit was on point.

Only if Wyatt brainwashed him and he became a lunatic monster on Brays command. Eventually Bray wants the title himself and destroys Kane to solidify himself as the WWEs face of fear.

100p
Kane is the best. Chokeslams for everyone! |

I dunno. Kinda thought that's what his 2009 or 2010 WHC run was...:-\
|
They should have given it to him last year when Bryan was injured

Dunno if I'd count it. |
Yeah...that's why I qualified my statement with a "kind of". I guess a short run couldn't hurt, necessarily, but if there's only going to be one main belt in WWE, it needs to mostly go to new guard guys who have established themselves properly but somewhat quickly. The current veterans won't be around to provide name recognition for us thirtysomethings and older forever, ya know.
|
He is so goddamn big. True monster. Yes give him the strap.
|
Kane should win the IC Championship in the Chamber.
|
Would give this storyline new legs if Kane was put in the Money in the Bank match to "protect the authorities interests", like a way of stopping someone like Ambrose winning, but in stopping him, he wound up with the case after a tug of war at the top of the ladder.
Would be very interesting |
Biker Kane only. Oh wait, wrong guy. But seriously give him a shot a Sting and The Summerslam.

His run only lost steam at the end when he feuded with Edge, and it felt like they just "gave up" on him again. |
Absolutely not.
The World Title should be on the guy that you want to be a star and draw money from being champion. Kane is neither. I know it's a nice thing for some fans, but it would be awful, and his 'thank you' is being on TV for so long. |
The allure or fear of Kane has gone and rather than have a huge fanfare retirement, here really is no harm in just having him slip by quietly and assume a permanent on-screen non-wrestling role.
However I can envisage that once he has has formally hung up his boots, his on screen presence may well diminish i.e. what would be the need for him anymore as a lackey etc? If anything he would have been "more" relevant if his association with the Undertaker had still been maintained but that seems to have quietly slipped off the radar since WM 29. Even now as DOO, his role is at best boring, uninspiring and it's a question of why is he even still here? WWE really needs to let go of the Attitude era even if that means moving on the likes of Kane, Big Show, Undertaker permanently. Even having the Rock come back to do little in ring promos are cringeworthy at best; you know he's not going to wrestle again so stop rubbing it in our faces. |
Sure.
Glenn Jacobs has been a company man thru and thru. |
Actually the IC title would be better, kill everyone in the chamber and dominate until Summerslam and put over Triple H's new muscle, Joe.
|
You guys bitch that Cena is always the champ and on top (while the biggest star) but you would OK with givinga guy a run just to "thank" him?
ugh horrible. |

No for a title reign but no problem with him getting one last short main event feud as a final gift.
|
He should get a face turn wit hthe mask coming back where he torments Rollins AT BEST. Then Rollins goes over and he retires.

So good..... even while talking about ridiculous things like "vegetative state"s..... |
Still can't believe they went from Kane winning title, finally decisively beating Undertaker in a feud, to turn right around and have him look like a chump against Edge. Still cringe at the idea of Edge kidnapping and torturing a man for WEEKS (presumably bringing the man with him on airplanes to various cities... when questioned by authorities he just stated "don't worry, I'm a wrestler" and they let him through).
|
No. He should not get a thank you run nor should anyone. Complete waste. He had his runs with the title and that is what he deserved. We do not need to water down the product with thank you runs. If you want to give him a thank you thing let him win KoTR or some crap like that.

Andre Memorial Battle Royal.

Kane in 2001 is a top 3 favorite ever for me. He was so entertaining that entire year. Team Hell No pulled that side back out and was probably his best run since.
As for the Title, Kane will get his "Thank You" at the Hall of Fame. If he never had a run, sure, but he has so I'm gonna side with no. |
Agreed with Ruien.
X-Pac was spot on with him when being interview about "WWE ruining Kane". |

I don't know, on one hand he has been around forever as a slight notch below consistent main eventer, on the other hand his character has never really been about the world championships. Maybe a short transitional title reign could be ok, but the title finally got some credibility so I'd hate for that credibility to diminish just to say thank you
