How do you feel about Titus Oneil

He is pretty much the prime time players as Young hardly ever says or does anything. I feel WWE had a true opportunity to push him as a singles competiter while Young was gone. He is great on the mic, he is one of the most ripped guys on the roster. He is a lot more charismatic than Ezickle Jackson was, and I feel he could even be a WWE champ at some point, given the right push. He is 38 so his age might be the only thing he has against him.

If he would have taken on the gimmick of The Prime Time Player Titus O'Neil and not be made out to be a joke in the Rumble he wouldn't had to be stuck back with Young. Vince seems to like him as he supported him for celiberty dad, so he has that going for him. What do you guys think about Titus O'Neil and how WWE has used him?

Bad News Gertner 05-22-2015 10:30 PM

I posted in a prediction thread 2 years ago that Titus was going to be a huge star.

He's literally got everything you'd think they'd want: size, a legit sports background, he's hilarious on promos, great in the community, and he could easily appeal to what I believe is an ignored market: African American viewers.

youreSAWFT 05-22-2015 10:59 PM

Hes ugly.

Mr. Nerfect 05-22-2015 11:16 PM

He was really clunky when he first started, but he's now good enough in the ring to be considered "good in the ring." He's got size, a good physique, can talk -- he could be a huge star. The Prime Time Players split came at a poor time -- WrestleMania season.

I'm not invested in Young & O'Neil as a team. I've never been too high on Young. He's got a good look (it's been made quite apparent how much he looks like John Cena), but his ring work has never grabbed me. I don't really know what to suggest for them. As a team they aren't good enough to grab my attention over Cesaro & Kidd, The New Day, The Wyatt Family or The Lucha Dragons. As singles acts, I don't really see too much for them to do.

I'd probably let them enhance for a little bit -- put over heel teams like The New Day -- but keep them looking strong against guys like The Ascension and the heel Los Matadores (if they ever do turn them).

The more I think about it (disjointed thought coming) the more I like the idea of a new Real Americans tandem between Jack Swagger & Titus O'Neil. Swagger is basically great at making his partners shine. Ziggler & Cesaro actually gained a lot by being in a team with him. They could be a pretty brutish team and Darren Young can find a new partner to go against them. Plus the history between Swagger and Cesaro could be exploited for a match against him and Kidd.

It's too bad Slater Gator split up. They really could have been a heck of an entertaining team.

Lol my computer password at work is still Slatergator

Titus as a Real American would be awesome. Wouldn't even really need Zeb as a mouth piece. Young could tag with Ryder, or Slater as a jobber team.

Never really gave them a chance to do anything, kind slowly put them together and then Young came back.

#1-norm-fan 05-23-2015 02:45 AM

Primetime Players should have gotten a push to take advantage of the little jolt of popularity after Young came out of the closet. They were actually getting a nice pop for a bit after that but WWE didn't do anything of note with them.

Yeah, its an obviously ignored market, but meh. Titus is actually in the same frat as my father, same frat I would have been in if my college had a line while I was there, so he instantly gets cred from that perspective alone.

Clerk 05-23-2015 06:53 AM

He might have a 15 inch penis

Rammsteinmad 05-23-2015 07:57 AM

He's got all the tools that have already mentioned, but he's a bit shit in the ring. He works well in a tag team so he doesn't have to do all the work, but as a singles guy I've never cared for him.

DrCrawford 05-23-2015 01:42 PM

When I was watching I enjoyed him greatly. Love the barking

Ultra Mantis 05-23-2015 02:28 PM

I feel nothing.

There's zero reason why he couldn't be in a better position as a character. Had PTP been given the attention the Usos have had, I'd argue they'd be near as over based on not only Titus' charisma, but the obvious chemistry he and Darren Young share.

I still think they could push them to be a relevant team now if given decent direction, with Titus as the main focus of the two. Not sure if he's got a singles run in him.

Wishbone 05-23-2015 07:58 PM

As a member of the PTP I love him. Dude is funny and charismatic. However, he's pretty blah by himself. Never impressed me at all and his ring work makes Ryback look like a technical master. Also he looks... weird. Definitely not someone I'd ever see as "face of the company" at all.

Mr. Nerfect 05-23-2015 11:28 PM

Titus had a match with Sheamus that was "the goods." I know Sheamus is pretty fantastic and all, but I'm not too into his act, yet that match made me take notice. But then again, Zack Ryder also had a great match with Christian.

Heath Slater should be absolutely bummed that Titus left him for Darren Young. Give Slater a proper partner (a credible straight man to his slightly eccentric act) and let them feud with The Prime Time Players.

Or just have Slater join the PTP and have them feud with The New Day.

Lock Jaw 05-24-2015 01:01 PM

I think Titus makes a good comical character. His attempts to be serious have been boring, though....

He had a few week storyline on NXT that I was bored to death by, and not impressed with at all. (Brodus Clay, meanwhile, just had a few week storyline on NXT that I was impressed with)

I agree with this. I don't think Titus will ever be a Main-Event Guy, but I definitely think he's worthy of being an IC champion or a lengthy IC title contender.

Nicky Fives 05-24-2015 05:31 PM

Don't care for him at all....seems like he would be a great spokesperson, but he's crap in the ring.....

Ruien 05-24-2015 06:30 PM

PTP need to get the belts for once. Titus is awesome and Darren is a homosexual so its a win win.

Heyman 05-25-2015 01:47 AM

I wonder if Darren has tasted Titus' cock behind closed doors? #Head #FriedChicken

rad dggy dg 05-25-2015 01:55 AM

He's no Miniak for Pete's sake

Mr. Nerfect 05-25-2015 10:51 AM

I get that people love The Prime Time Players, but I just don't want to see them as champs. They've never been the best tag team the WWE has had to offer. They're like the APA during the Edge & Christian/Hardys/Dudleys era to me. You've got Cesaro & Kidd and The New Day firing on all cylinders, and The Lucha Dragons are super-exciting in the ring.

I want to see Titus & Darren in a proper feud with a team, but I just feel that them getting the titles would be a bit forced. I can see it happening though. Both guys would get good press, given that Titus is good in the community and Darren is out in the open. I could see them cooling Kidd & Cesaro -- maybe even have them both enter Money in the Bank, since they could both kill it in that environment and having a proper tag team in there adds a different dynamic to the match -- and the PTP having a fun feud with The New Day over the titles, which they win to transition the titles to Harper & Rowan. I think I'd rather just see Cesaro & Kidd win the titles they were robbed of and then find themselves the target of the reapers though.

Anybody Thrilla 06-06-2015 10:48 AM

I've been enjoying the hot tags to Titus as of late. I dunno if they can build off of that or not. He for real looks like a beast when he's raging.

The Grand Wizard 06-06-2015 05:25 PM

Ugh, no not a fan. These are the types that the WWE needs to move away from.

GD 06-07-2015 01:32 AM

I always associate Titus with botches. I will keep an open mind.

Shisen Kopf 06-07-2015 07:11 AM

Have him join New Day. He can team up with Big E as the powerhouse tag team that can challenge for the belts. Kofi and Xavier Woods can be the spot..er...the tag team that does a lot of super awesome moves. NEW DAY ROCKS!

drave 06-07-2015 10:20 AM

Titus is underrated and under utilized. He had a great showing at Elimination Chamber and they have kept him looking strong since then. They need to keep doing what they are doing.

It could work, I'd rather Titus be the New Day member to get a singles push though. His barking would compliment the New Days clapping. It would also make for a good swerve to get him away from Young.

owenblack 06-07-2015 02:14 PM

mah nigga

Mr. Nerfect 06-07-2015 05:19 PM

I've got a feeling they might be the Tag Champs soon. Good for them. Cesaro is the best off hot tags.

EzekielKane 06-08-2015 02:26 PM

Titus seems to be a total package...he can really be a huge star, its been awhile since theres been a good African American main eventer
