I hope Romero wins.

Had no idea there was a fight night. Is it just me or has the ufc marketing machine taken a step backwards?

Sixx 06-28-2015 09:27 AM

That guy is pretty fuckin' impressive.

Love fighters that mostly win by KO, not really a fan of submissions.

The whole thing was an ad for 189

What Would Kevin Do? 06-28-2015 10:18 AM

That was a good night of fights. The co-main was really fun too. Surprised that guy was even conscious after eating those two shots.

Kris P Lettus 06-28-2015 10:52 AM

Yeah that dude Larkin fought was tough as a motherfucker

Also, the hype video for McGregor vs Aldo was sick, but it really sent a message to me. Root for McGregor, bet on Aldo.

Kris P Lettus 06-28-2015 11:10 AM

Yeah. Hype or not betting against Aldo at this point is ridiculous.

RP 06-28-2015 11:52 AM

Romero knocking Asians out and hating gays afterwards. Impressive.

Kris P Lettus 06-28-2015 12:05 PM

He said nothing about gays.

He said "not forget Jesus". "Not for gay jesus" means nothing.

Why?

Legit question.

Kris P Lettus 06-28-2015 04:00 PM

He hasn't lost in ten years and has beaten the best of the best in the UFC for the past six years. It would be like betting against GSP, Silva, or Jones. Sure all those guys can be beat but why pick against the p4p greatest alive.

What Would Kevin Do? 06-28-2015 05:19 PM

Bingo. Aldo is an amazing fighter... McGregor is pretty "untested". I'm not saying he isn't good, but he has never faced someone like Aldo. This is basically trial by fire, and he's being thrown into an inferno.

Sixx 06-28-2015 06:08 PM

Ok.

McGregor's record looks solid as well, though.

Kris P Lettus 06-28-2015 06:18 PM

Yeah but he didn't face any of the former title challengers on the way to his title shot. The best fighter he faced was Dustin Poirier who was ranked number 6 at the time. He should have faced Frankie Edgar, Chad Mendes, Ricardo Lamas, Korean Zombie, etc on his road to a title shot. He has the skills to beat Aldi and possibly KO him, but at this point, picking against Aldo is ridiculous and if McGregor is the favorite, bet the house on Aldo.

Jon jones has been untested for awhile and is the best fighter ever and will never lose

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 07-01-2015 05:11 AM

Might be time for Machida to stop. He seems to have lost some of his athleticism.

Kris P Lettus 07-01-2015 09:44 AM

I agree but he shouldn't have taken such a quick turnaround after getting mauled by Rockhold
