Smackdown Spoilers for 7/9

Dark Match:
Owen White defeated some local jobber in another "White Challenge" match. Post-match promo of him saying he hasn't been able to get much sleep ever since agreeing to Kevin Owens demands. Issued a challenge for next week of him vs Owens in a Pokemon Charizard card on a pole match and if he loses, he quits the WWE forever.

Smackdown:
* Seth Rollins starts the show. The destroyed Cadillac is brought out and Paul Heyman interrupts. Rollins and Heyman trade promos about Brock Lesnar and Battleground.

* Roman Reigns vs. Big Show and Rollins vs. Ryback in a Champion vs. Champion match is announced for later.

* Dean Ambrose defeated Bo Dallas with Dirty Deeds. The crowd started mild on this match and there was a big botch by Ambrose at one point.

* Rusev squashed Fandango and is now wearing shoes.

* Roman Reigns vs. Big Show was next. Bray Wyatt's music hit and he came down during the match. Reigns stayed in the ring but the Wyatt on the ramp was a decoy, the real Wyatt attacked Reigns from behind for the disqualification. Wyatt hit two Sister Abigails on Reigns.

* Titus O'Neil defeated Big E. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were ejected from ringside by the referee.

* They show a vignette of the Cadillac being destroyed on RAW.

* Randy Orton comes out and cuts a promo on Sheamus. The Ascension interrupts and tells Orton to get out of their ring. They get RKOs for their troubles.

* Brie Bella and Alicia Fox defeated Naomi and Tamina Snuka in a 4 minute match with a screwy finish.

* Ryback defeated Seth Rollins by count out when Rollins jumped the barrier and ran away towards the ramp. At one point Ryback held Rollins in the air for a good 45 seconds. Big Show came out to help Rollins beat Ryback down after the match but Roman Reigns made the save to end the show.

Rollins should probably have beaten Ryback with a roll up or by interference or something.

On the plus side, I assume when the move to USA happens, Smackdown will be a little more "eventful".

... And Raw less so.

Dammit, man. I was hoping to read a clean finish in Ryback v. Rollins. It sounded like it had such amazing potential at the top of the report, and then to see that? Doesn't solidify Ryback one bit for his IC Triple Threat defense @ BattleGround.

Also, I hope Owen White knows what he's doing. K.O.'s Pokémon fandom level means he is not a man to be trifled with.

I feel kind of bad, because normally I hate when people rag on Smackdown for "not being good" or being a throwaway show, when for the most part, it's usually a fine, serviceable show.

But this week... This is a tough week to defend.

I am getting a PC DVR device in the mail. Is this a worthy show to christen the device?

Rollins getting counted out isn't the same as if he had been pinned. Simple.

Rollins shouldn't get pinned, he is the WWE Champion.

It's pretty sad Dean Ambrose has been dropped all the way to barely being on tv in a feud with Bo Dallas..at least he has new shirts

But he still beat the champion and you are saying it makes him look bad. Of course it is not the same thing but that logic makes no sense. Its like saying, if you get a A- instead of a A+ in math then its a failure because you did not get the best possible outcome.

And why the hell would they want the champ getting pinned clean on Smackdown!? That would be idiotic.

The only acceptable outcome for that match was for THE RYBACK to beat Rollins to death with his fists obviously.

How many Roman Reigns vs. Big Show matches have there been this year? I swear we have one every week.

49 if house shows count and 19/20 if they don't.

No, I have a TV/VCR combo but no room for it here.

This is getting stupid. You have wrestlers that can use Smackdown to create and develop secondary angles. Instead we run the same cards. Just like the rivalry mode in WWE games. LOL.

I have to be fair to the show:

The opening promo between Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman was A+ work, and not just because of Paul Heyman. Rollins was really good.

Rollins has been channeling his inner 1999-2000 Triple H since WrestleMania. He's only going to get better, too. I love Seth Rollins.
