In terms of the schedule, the whole idea for the TV deal (which is lousy) is so that they can increase the number of buys they get for the Wednesday shows (which will continue BTW).
It wont work, but thats the game plan.

In terms of production quality, yea TNA is light years behind WWE. In terms of wrestling superstars that the casual fan would pay to watch, yea TNA is behind WWE in that area too. Hopefully TNA will utilize their Impact timeslot and make their *new* viewers care enough to want to pay $10-$40 a month to see what happens on the next show, something I think WWE is failing at right now, especially on Smackdown. WWE definately has the better production quality and has the better wrestlers (overall), but TNA is doing better with what they have than WWE is doing with their talent.
And yeah, what sucks for TNA is that Friday afternoons at 3PM is a terrible timeslot for the demographic I'm guessing they're tying to pull in (male teens-adults). Maybe a soccer mom will catch the show after watching Sharon Osbourne's talk show. What sucks even worse for TNA is that Impact won't even be on Fridays at 3PM in all markets. I live in NYC, for example, and Impact is gonna be shown Tuesdays at 2:30!!! BTW, if anyone wants the list of what times Impact will be shown in what markets, here it is: http://www.nwatna.com/news/2004/5/26/news.html
