oversells or undersells that really piss you off

I have always hated rvd overselling his own finishing move. Ffs dude if it hurts that bad to do the splash dont. Also hate when rock would do a back roll from a stunner. Yours?

ron the dial 07-20-2015 05:31 PM

it doesn't piss me off because i'm not a mutie, but ziggler's selling can get a bit ridiculous at times. like, all of the times.

Big Vic 07-20-2015 05:58 PM

i think Dolph just tries to kill himself.

Imagine him in a match with Lesnar.

XL 07-20-2015 07:23 PM

I also hate the Hangspring Stunner Sell.

Simple Fan 07-20-2015 07:53 PM

Doesn't really bother me either way, if you watch ROH there is a lot of no selling but it an action packed match. In WWE there might be someone every once in a while that will make me think that should have been sold more but not to often.

Shisen Kopf 07-20-2015 08:16 PM

Lex Luger. Enough said. That guy was such a hack.

The Condor 07-21-2015 01:04 AM

D-Von Dudley selling table spots by flopping around the ring like a fish out of water.

DAMN iNATOR 07-21-2015 04:21 AM

Guys who can't take an RKO, outta nowhere or not really infuriate me.

drave 07-21-2015 07:08 AM

The "twitching" after certain finishers was always dumb.

The Attitude Era was bad for underselling.

*BOOM* chairshot, springs to feet moments later.
Remember recently watching Hawk no-sell a fucking Piledriver.

Ol Dirty Dastard 07-21-2015 09:44 AM

Hawk always no sold the piledriver.

Heyman 07-21-2015 09:58 AM

Ahmed Johnson pretty much underwood everything from what I remember.

NormanSmiley 07-21-2015 05:48 PM

Favorite no selling of all time was hercules against sid

BigDaddyCool 07-21-2015 11:02 PM

that one time when the guy didn't sell sucked

Mr. Nerfect 07-21-2015 11:08 PM

It annoys me when a guy does the whip to the ropes but misses the dropkick and then acts like he just got body slammed, even though he would have thrown his body onto the canvas hitting the dropkick anyway.

Mr. Nerfect 07-21-2015 11:10 PM

Cena busts out like eight King's Road style finishes a week these days and then wins with a fireman's carry. I appreciate the work Cena is doing, but gosh -- it's like getting hit with a ping pong ball after getting shot with a gun.

Feel like an overdone spot is the top rope Superplex during a really long match. Invariably it will knock out both guys anyway and they'll get up around the same time, making the entire move little more than an excuse to give both guys a breather.

Johnny Vegas 07-22-2015 10:06 AM

Top rope superplex is awesome, they aren't machines

That is more to get the crowd pumped for a "spot" than anything.

SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF PEOPLE!

Seriously, makes things more enjoyable.

I've been finding it really annoying when he hits these new moves and Cole talks about them being "effective" yet he never, EVER scores a pinfall with them.

The Springboard Stunner is the worst. Wouldn't be so bad if the guy staggered about/bounced off the ropes into the AA, or something. Or, score the occasional pinfall from it.

Mr. Nerfect 07-22-2015 09:29 PM

To meet Vito's point -- I'd like it if more mid-card matches ended with a top rope superplex spot.

Stickman 07-23-2015 10:08 AM

Cena vs Kevin Owens, so many high impact great moves that should have finished the match. I find it tiring that every match must end with that wrestlers finishing move only, any other high impact move is not as strong as said wresetlers signature move.

Owens (as Steen) is pretty much synonymous with "KICKOUT AT TWO" though..... so it is surprising?

Definitely impressed at first, but their matches nearly come off identical until the finish. Starting to be boring.

NormanSmiley 07-23-2015 07:13 PM

You guys can thank the attitude era for all the false finish ,kick out at two and a half bullshit
