There and back again.....

Watching Mark Henry get squashed by Rusev Monday made me think has anyone gone from Main Eventer to Lower card guy more times than Mark Henry. Good Guy gets squashed by heel talent the WWE wants to be a monster, bad guy breaks Big Show's Leg (or arm) gets title.

So any thoughts on talent the WWE or any organization boomeranged throughout their careers?

Big Show and Kane.

Don't worry Rusev got squashed by Reigns on smackdown.

"Rusev isn't dead yet guys, he's gonna come out of this Cena program and be booked strong"

Bad News Gertner 08-06-2015 01:39 PM

Jericho bounces from mid card feuds (Fandango) to main event feuds, not as often as Show/Henry/Kane

I have a feeling this will be Bray Wyatt/Wyatt family's future as well

Mark Henry got a win in a 6-man tag, too.

Think Big Show is definitely at the top. Sucks because the guy should be a fucking legend/feature attraction at this point.

Unfortunately, they all do. One of the main reasons I think interest in WWE is down is because, with so much TV, no competition and fewer stars than ever available to scoop up and sign, WWE puts everybody through the cycle. Get a push, you're a big deal for a bit, lose to the top guy and work your way down until we repackage you slightly and pretend you're a big deal again. Get a run with the top guy and lose again. Round and round.

And it sucks because it's conditioned fans to not buy into pushes when you see former world champions like Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz losing to people like Brodus Clay, or whoever the new pushed guy is. People don't believe pushes any more because they've been bastardized, and it takes more for the public to believe these guys are special than ever before, because they've been told it so many times and then turns out "nope, that guy wasn't a star after all".

Except for John Cena.

hb2k 08-07-2015 02:58 PM

Well, yes. He would be the 'top guy' I alluded to.

This post wins the thread (not mine - the one I am quoting - just so we're clear).
