Slipknot: Vol. 3 The subliminal verses.

Im disappointed in this CD.
Nuff said.

Kane Knight 05-22-2004 05:49 PM

It's slipknot. 'Nuff said. ;)

True.
They got worse every album.
I guess I shouldn't have had such high expectations.

The Destroyer 05-22-2004 05:59 PM

Personally I think it's better than anything they've done before, even if I don't think it's an especially brilliant album. At least they didn't take the easy route and churn out a carbon copy of their previous albums.

The Outlaw 05-22-2004 06:06 PM

Couldn't this have gone into the topic STILL ON PAGE ONE?

The Destroyer 05-22-2004 06:22 PM

Some people are too lazy to look.

Mike the Metal Ed 05-22-2004 06:25 PM

I'll download it before I buy it.

The Outlaw 05-22-2004 06:28 PM

But I agree with what Destroyer said pretty much. I've listened to a little of it and it doesn't sound like their other garbage.

Only songs before this album that I had semi-liked was Wait and Bleed, Purity, and Left Behind.

Seriously, I made a topic aboot this and it's still on the first page.

This album is the man.

Kane Knight 05-22-2004 10:45 PM

Jealous?

Kane Knight 05-22-2004 11:32 PM

This is a very middle-of-the-road album.

Vastardikai 05-23-2004 04:07 AM

Upon hearing "Duality," I was wondering when Meshuggah was going to call the guys, asking for their riff back.

Kane Knight 05-23-2004 04:16 AM

Could be worse. At least they stole from someone worth it. I swear, In Flames ripped off Papa f'ing Roach. Come on, that's fu</>cking bad, when you're ripping off a rapcore act...:|

The Destroyer 05-23-2004 08:47 AM

Meshuggah imitation seems to be very popular these days...

Especially an act that's big hit came from ripping the bass line off of Green Day's "Brain Stew" and riff off of Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name." :nono:

Oh, well, at least I got Colony.

i bought the cd and i belive that they are finally coming together...i've always enojyed his voice and i'm glad that corey talyor is finally singing in more of his songs. Slipknots never been known for "high talent" music...but if u expect that out of them then your just stupid and need to listen. Plus if you don't think that they have some talent then why don't u go up on stage and play 3 drums 2 guitars 2 basses and sing and we'll see how you do

Bull 05-29-2004 05:14 PM

Granted that SlipKnot isn't exactly high quality, but they have a few songs that I enjoy. I personally like Duality right now. I mean they may not be the greatest band, but really they are not half bad.

Ninti the Mad 05-30-2004 09:02 AM

hot cd

I actually enjoy listening to Slipknot for once. They've gone away from that no melody crap, sounded like they're either constipated or puking. Now, they got more of a metal tune to their music, and you can actually get what they're saying.

New CD was well put together. Opium of the People is an awesome tune.

All at once? :?:

I'm sorry, but pointing out the number of instruments they play is stupid when you say "See how well you could do." Yeah, you know why? I'm not nine people! (Shocking, isn't it folks?)

Incidentally, when I play guitar, it pretty much comes out like that.

Considering I play over a half dozen instruments, I don't think you can really complain about me being judgemental. Even more appropriate, I've heard good guitar work. I know it. I've also heard first year music students. If you downtuned them, they'd sound like most of Slipknot's stuff.

Dan Swanö recorded Crimson II by himself [with some guest musicians doing a few guitar solos and one of his friends doing vocal parts that call for two different voices]. He did the guitars, bass, vocals [both growling and singing], drums, piano, and synths.

One guy composed a 43 minute epic song.

Slipknot, with nine people, has done what?

Wow. Somebody did a recording all by themself? That's unprecedented!

Way to post something totally unrelated to the thread.

Scarface 06-13-2004 03:28 PM

I saw Slipknot live once. It was awesome. I also like this album a lot, but not as much as Iowa.
