Hopefully this time the Open Challenge doesn't just end with Cena going over the midcard and nobody really benefiting. That was the big issue with the series last time even though it produced some great matches.

Maybe it was the way Cena lost the title or the way it seemed like Creative didn't have anything actually planned that left a sour taste for me. Nobody really got built to take the title off of Cena which is just as important as Cena being used to elevate the belt's status.

Hopefully this time they build a legit challenger while having Cena continue to help elevate the title. Outside of Rollins, the past few champions have helped improved the US belt's status.
