I'm not gonna watch that. Is he already vacating the title?

GD 10-07-2015 03:39 AM

He will be on next week's edition of Monday Night RAW to accept Cena's U.S. open challenge.

Rammsteinmad 10-07-2015 04:28 AM

Wow, TNA.

The Destroyer 10-07-2015 06:24 AM

aka "I won't appear on TV as we haven't taped any featuring me as champion"

This begs the question of whether the TNA title is more important than the WWECW title was.

I say no.

Sixx 10-08-2015 06:00 PM

He even looks like a right twat.

TNA should splurge for some fancy cgi to superimpose the belt on his waist..er..shoukder

Ultra Mantis 10-08-2015 07:01 PM

I'm going to predict that the months long single elimination tournament to crown a new champion ends up as a triple threat match between EC3, Matt Hardy and Drew Galloway. Then somehow Jeff Hardy wins it.

Poorly run, yeah. Horrendously booked, I don't know. They've had plenty of times I've seen where the writing actually seems like people were coming up with ideas and putting effort in. That's something.

TNA has a really bad problem of rarely thinking things through whenever they come up with storylines or plans. Its a big reason why they have soo many LOLTNA moments and momentum squashes happening when the majority could have easily been avoided.

They wanted to send the crowd "home happy" with BFG since it was in North Carolina but forgot about the aftermath and having nothing planned for the next few weeks. They gave Matt the belt knowing full well it was going to mess up the pool of matches they taped a while ago but didn't care.

This weeks episode wasn't bad. They got a Mathews and Pope in front of a green screen and the World Title Series could be pretty good. 8 groups of 4 go round robin and the top 2 from each group advance to a 16 person single elimination bracket. There is a group of Knockouts so Kong could win the World title.

#1-norm-fan 10-08-2015 09:16 PM

Wait, what? There's a group of knockouts in the world title tournament?

Emperor Smeat 10-08-2015 09:19 PM

Yeup was part of their special announcement regarding the title's status and probably not having enough guys needed to do the tournament size they wanted.

Damian Rey 10-08-2015 09:31 PM

Kong should so win the title. Why the fuck not at this point. It'd be positive publicity at the very least.

They only have 12 male wrestlers now? Lol

Tom Guycott 10-08-2015 11:13 PM

But at least they re-signed Bram as one of the 12!

Also, Matt soooo wanted to say "best for business", but had to dance around it since WWE made it a catchphrase.

Next "cost-cutting" move: paper championships! WOO!

Wonder if they pull a HHH/Jericho and say it never happened?

Why not? What do they have to lose at this point? Nobody cares about them anyways.

Someone should have that as a gimmick: a literal paper champion. Makes his own belt out of posterboard and Sharpie.

It would be of "historical significance", but since they're a sinking ship, it would actually kinda hurt Kong. If only because they didn't really feel as if she was legit enough, but because of said publicity stunt. She could prob'ly be a legit HC, but the time for that was about when Chris Sabin was champ. Doing it now would just smack of desperation for attention.

Probably their entire company. No channel, whether it be DA or any other channel is going to broadcast a wrestling company's shows when they're already barely keeping their heads above water and topping it off with nonsense like that.

If TNA really doesn't want to live to see it's 14th birthday, fine. Fuck 'em.

Sounds like it would've been perfect for EY if he were even still around (IS he?)...

Does it matter? He's got fishing show money, he doesn't need their bullshit.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-08-2015 11:28 PM

Sorry about your damn luck, James Storm visited the WWE Performance Center.

Droford 10-08-2015 11:29 PM

I dunno, LOL. I just thought with what little I know of his gimmick as kind of a goofball that it might be a good fit for him. Sorry I don't watch a product that seems less appealing than dying of the black plague.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-08-2015 11:41 PM

Oh he wrestled for an NXT Taping too. Double sorry about your damn luck TNA.

Droford 10-08-2015 11:50 PM

Bobby Roode needs to go to nxt too

Guess he just needed more R-E-S, P-E-C-T.

Would Kong being champ really be the thing that makes networks not take them seriously though? Really? I tend to agree that at this point, the positive would outweigh the negative.

Besides, vagina or not, she'd be less of a joke as champion than Chris Sabin was. Much more appealing to networks.

Rammsteinmad 10-09-2015 02:21 AM

Fucking stupid tournament. Nobody likes keeping track of "points" and all this bollocks. Should have made it elimination from the start.

In fact, they shouldn't even have this mess in the first place.
