RKO or Diamond cutter?

Who executes the better move? And if the match ever happened who would win

Legend vs. Legend killer
DDP vs. Randy ORton

Shaggy 05-23-2004 12:15 PM

Im gonna have to go with DDP on this one.

Im a big fan of both but even though Orton can slap it on anywhere, it doesnt look as good as when DDP does it. DDP would snap it on and the crowd would go crazy and and the move would actually look like it did some damage.

James Steele 05-23-2004 12:16 PM

thats like asking Jeff Hardy or Chris Jericho (botch or GOD)

Loose Cannon 05-23-2004 12:16 PM

Definately the Diamo........HAHA, YEAH RIGHT. Randy Orton and the RKO.

Loose Cannon 05-23-2004 12:21 PM

You Bet.

Diamond Cutter for sure!

Joe Kerr 05-23-2004 12:26 PM

My bet is Lc is the one vote for RKO

Wondermouse 05-23-2004 12:26 PM

*marks for Evolution*

Shaggy 05-23-2004 12:39 PM

Love that theme, I wish there was some way to save that to my comp

Sephiroth 05-23-2004 12:39 PM

RKO is cool, but the Diamond Cutter rules.

Pepsi Man 05-23-2004 12:44 PM

I went with the Diamond Cutter, on the sole fact that DDP used it first. I'm not the biggest DDP fan in the world, but he used it before Orton, so he gets my vote here.

Azriel 05-23-2004 01:07 PM

RKO

MVP 05-23-2004 01:28 PM

I don't consider DDP a legend, but his version of the move is better.

Nowhere Man 05-23-2004 02:01 PM

No contest. DDP's Diamond Cutter, all the way. First, because Page was the one that popularized the move, while Orton uses it just to leech off of its heat. Second, because Page would do about fifty billion different variations of it (like Rey and hurricanranas), while Orton only does one or two. Third, because Page actually got over on his own merit, while Orton's needed every trick in the "get this guy over at all costs" book and still only gets moderate reactions at best.

Oh, and if the match ever happened, Orton would win. Not because he's better, or because anyone (except L-C) would want to see it, but like I said, the kid needs all the help he can get if he's ever going to get over.

John la Rock 05-23-2004 02:09 PM

Diamond Cutter cause it was original

PureHatred 05-23-2004 02:10 PM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Nowhere Man again.

Hired Hitman 05-23-2004 02:12 PM

I liked how DDP would hit the Diamond Cutter out of nowhere, out of any move, at any time.

sometimes you knew it was coming, but those times you didn't, you loved it, I know i did...

I wanted nash and DDP to have a tag move, nash would go for a snake eyes, turn it around into a diamond cutter or something, remember when nash and DDP were a tag team... yeah :$

anyway I think it HAS to be DDP's Diamond cutter that gets my vote.

Oxstar 05-23-2004 03:03 PM

Yeah i will vote for ddp, not that i ever really liked him.

Wildcat789 05-23-2004 03:13 PM

You'd never get me to vote for DDP in a positive way in anything, because I hate the guy. It's a long story about a personal experience my cousin had with him. Not only that, but I'm a huge Orton fan. DDP can eat my nut.

RKO > Diamond Cutter

Disturbed316 05-23-2004 04:21 PM

DIAMOND CUTTER

I went with the RKO just to keep LC happy. :y:

Shadow 05-23-2004 08:15 PM

Dimond Cutter. Mostly because DDP used it first but also because DDP could hit it out of nowhere. Off the ropes, off of the top turnbuckle, out of the corner, just standing in the middle of ring. Anywhere. It didn't matter where you, he could hit it at any time. Orton...can't hit squat at times. So, that's my vote.

31 votes for DDP sorry LC Diamond Cutter reigned over RKO.........if it helps you might beat out the twist of fate

diamondcutter 05-24-2004 12:06 AM

Like there's a choice here? Orton can't seem to decide whether to use one arm or two when doing the RKO, and you can see it coming a mile away.

With Page, it never mattered. Whether or not it was telegraphed, the impact was 1,000 times cooler than the RKO, in addition to the numerous variations Page had of the move.

Batsu 05-24-2004 01:13 AM

Diamond Cutter...that move alone was instrumental in DDP getting over.

He could pull that move out of so many predicaments...when they said "you never saw it coming", you never really did see it coming. It was truly one of the most versatile finishing moves ever. It could be the best non-submission finisher ever just because of that fact.

What Would Kevin Do? 05-24-2004 01:59 AM

Impact wise, I'm thinking the original Ace Crusher was the best. Overall though I love the Diamond Cutter for the ability to his it from anywhere...

As far as how Orton does it, it's like diamondcutter said, he can't really decide how he wants to do it. I've seen him do it with one arm on the head and the other in the air ( ace crusher-esque) and other times he does that damn leap into it.

I think if Orton stopped calling it as much it would be better, and he needs to lose that leap from the side RKO he does.

Hired Hitman 05-24-2004 06:53 AM

Like the one he did to mick foley at wrestlemania, that's how Randy should do it.

Fryza 05-24-2004 11:50 AM

Page > Orton.

Page was just an over-all better wrestler and entertainer than Orton.
