TNA not paying POP TV to show Impact but not getting paid either
 

Turns out the new tv deal TNA was boasting about wasn't a real tv deal. Going to be worse off financially than they were with Destination America.

2nd time they rejected WGN's offer that probably would have paid them more money but also probably without the goodies DA promised or the spot POP offered.

EDIT: Turns out TNA isn't actually paying for the tv spot but they are not getting paid by POP TV either with this deal. POP TV basically got a free show in return for TNA to stay on air. Any money TNA makes is going to be whatever advertisers TNA either has left or are willing to pay during Impact.

Don't see why TNA keeps rejecting WGN. Networks in a lot of homed and they have had wrestling on it before. If they were going to get payed for Impact and took a deal where they had to pay for Impact that just dumb. WGN should sign GFW just if they really want a wrestling show just to spite Dixie. I m a TNA fan but if they flop with POP I don't see surviving. Probably come to a point where POP insnt getting paid on time and cancels Impact or something else Dixie does to piss off the network.

I wonder if WWE would ever consider buying TNA and running them as a separate brand on WWE Network. They could feud with and tour with NXT.

Don't see Vince wanting anything other than TNAs video library. I do think WWE should use another promotion like ROW or EVOLVE to tour with and trade talent, just not TNA. I do want Dixie to sell TNA though.

Yeah, Vince would never want anything of theirs. He doesn't even acknowledge them as is.

Yeah probably right. I just know they are looking for more talent to tour with NXT, and they publically awknowledge that NXT is geared towards a different audience. So maybe they make an exception to try to squeeze some value out of TNA in terms of Network Specials like Best of TNA Vol 1

But you guys are right, makes more sense to just let TNA die and pick the scraps in terms of talent they want.

Talents are not wasting away in TNA. They have a solid wrestling product they're just run by someone who has no idea what she's doing. Like I said I hope TNA stays around but I'd like to see Dixie sell it to someone else. Really they could use a total rebrand and drop the TNA altogether.

Side note, if they're "not gonna get paid" why would they take POP over WGN, if WGN was actually going to pay them? I mean, it's not like POP is a major network :-\

At one time I would argue there was that ECW space that another group could take, but NXT will have all that by the end of 2016, so I just don't see where TNA fits in.

EC3 has gained all kinds of traction in TNA. Drew Galloway has been presented better in TNA than WWE, same as Tyrus. The roster is very talented and they have more freedom in TNA with their characters. If they dont have to pay or get paid for IMPACT they shouldnt have a problem staying on POP. TNA was best as an alternitive to what WWE was doing until Hogan came in and made it WWE 2.0. So if they can get back to that would be best. I don't consider them the No. 2 wrestling promotion anymore as that would be ROH but if they keep in good terms with POP they should be fine.

Traction is relative. I don't bother with TNA, but i mean we're taking about working in front of what 200 people? Any of those paid?

Yeah, I'd really rather TNA not go out of business. I'd like them to move into place as a solid option to WWE, but it's way too late for that at this point. They became far too interested in "beating" WWE when that was just plain never going to happen. They never quite got the idea that the way to success for them was to be a modest but distant second option. So all that being said, since they are definitely not going to regain the opportunity they fucked away, I'd prefer they go out of business as soon as possible so that the talent can move on and whatever vacuum is left in the world of wrestling can be filled asap. I'm starting to wonder if Jarrett's idea for GFW hasn't been to build up something of a name and recognition and pick up TNA's talent roster when they finally disintegrate. Jim Ross is always saying how he doesn't understand how people can wish for a company to go under; at this point it's in the best interest of the patient. TNA has no chance of survival; pull the plug and harvest the organs (in this case the wrestlers) who can live on and actually do good somewhere else.

It seems they are restarting every year. I dont want them to go out of business but would really like to see Dixie sell the company or rebrand the the company to get away from the TNA name. With them not getting paid for IMPACT now I'm sure they will start touring again to make money. They shouldn't be trying to compete with WWE though.

I used to be an avid follower of TNA, always pulling for the under-dog, and hoping they'd pull through but even if like to see a "mercy kill" now. They've been bumped around TV and had to cut a lot of their talent/production to the point where it legit feels like a third-rate company.

Basically. Had a group of people that would watch WWE on Monday and then TNA came and we bounced back and forth. After 4 weeks we gave up on TNA and stuck with WWE.

POP goes the bubble. TNA is dead.
