PLayed the beta - it is great.

You don't say. What console and what could you do on there?

Xbox One.

Could do almost anything - even Ultimate Team. Striking is MUCH more responsive and if you knock someone "dizzy" pressing the attack results in a flurry, as people would do in real life. Blocking is done with two buttons now, for high and low. Parrying is done by holding one of the block buttons and hitting a strike button at the same time. Parrying is MUCH more rewarding than before.

Grappling is much easier as well, with on screen indicators showing which transition is assigned to which direction on the thumbsticks. Submission system is the same, which I kinda groaned about in the first one, but not really sure what else they can do without making it a buttonsmash fest.

Gotta agree here... I was bummed with the first one, but they've improved it tremendously this year. Everything flows better, and when you hit someone the characters actually act like they've been it.

I don't like the take downs in the 1st one. They never slam people like that. So unrealistic.

Yeah, the whole WWE suplex thing they had going on was a bit ridiculous. Takedowns in the beta were significantly harder to come by, and easier to defend unless you're gassed.

Might get this to make CM Punk the champ.

I enjoyed the THQ games but never really got round to picking up this first one, might check this one out eventually.
