I recently rewatched the films "A Clockwork Orange" and "Scum", and became intrigued with the idea of studying correctional facilities in England.


Recommendations of fictional stories are welcome, as are nonfictional books about the social science of life inside English penitentiaries. Any decade is fine too.

Interestingly enough I spent my day yesterday at a restorative justice meeting at a local prison

I only read this book after seeing the movie.

Would probably never realize it existed otherwise.

I've never read the book so definitely have to now
