New HBO miniseries... any1 watch it?

Really good I thought...

Didn't think it would be that good after seeing all the commercials for it and stuff, but just "gave it a shot" and the first episode was pretty freaking sweet... lots of tension... sweet... pumped for the second episode.

It's about a young Pakistani-American guy from Queens who meets a girl and has sex with her one night after taking drugs and drinking, and when he wakes up, he finds her stabbed to death.

I guess the first episode technically "premieres" on HBO on July 10 but it's on HBO Go and stuff now.

Also James Gandolfini was supposed to play the part of the lawyer that is played by John Turturro, which would have been sweet... then Gandolfini died and Robert De Niro was supposed to do it, but then there was a "scheduling conflict" so Turturro took the role... Love Turturro

Might watch this when all of the episodes are out. Netflix series has ruined watching shows week to week.

I cant figure this foot thing out for the lawyer. It dont make sense. Why is this show so focused on this story line? I'm not sure what it's trying to tell me. The only thing i can come up with is that he's the murderer. And it will get proven by something to do with his foot condition.

Honestly, i've lost focus of that whole thing. I cant figure out the reasoning for the lawyers feet problems hogging up so many scenes. There has to be something legitimate here.

It is just part of his character. He was a lawyer who was walking around with plastic wrap on his feet. Makes him "goofy" or w/e and somewhat "sad" and is just part of his character... like the stuff with the cat and hooker, etc... showing he is a lonely guy with his own problems... Feet storyline is really good imho... love John Turturro.......

Main thing I didn't really like in this ep is why John Turturro's character didn't "check out" the step dad guy like... b4 the trial started... since he saw him arguing @ the funeral etc.

Indian lawyer really hot...

It also paralleled the progress that was being made/not being made in the trial and reflected his attitude towards a seemingly lost cause... It made him seem sad and desperate but also noble. Same thing with the cat
