Shampoo is a soap or liquid used for cleansing. It is mostly used for hair/scalps, rugs, and upholstery.

What are the common ingredients in a bottle of shampoo?
The most common natural ingredients in a bottle of shampoo are Moor Water, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl- betaine,Cocamide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Extracts of Chamomile, Rosemary, Wild Thyme & Nettle; Essential Oils, and Phenoxyethanol.

How does shampoo work?
When the shampoo is combined with water, it creates lather, which you then rub into your hair. After lathering the shampoo and applying it to your hair, the base surfactant, which is the power ingredient in shampoos, begins to work. As you rub in the lather, the surfactant loosens, lifts up the dirt, and removes it. When rinsing the hair afterwards, the dirt is removed as you are rinsing the lather off of your scalp.

What are the benefits of cleansing with shampoo?
Cleansing your hair with shampoo provides it with smoothness and volume, and also cleans your scalp. It deep cleans your roots, and gives it a better scent and appearance. Shampooing rugs and upholstery helps to clean inside the material, and sometimes removes stains.

Can shampoo help prevent any problems with your hair and scalp?
Shampoo helps to remove dandruff from the hair. Dandruff is a scurf that forms on skin. It usually forms and the scalp, and comes off in a small white or grayish color. Shampoo removes dandruff the same way that it removes dirt, but some active ingredients are added to fight the dandruff. The two most effective ingredients to fight dandruff are Pyrithione Zinc and Selenium Sulfide. Shampoo also helps to get rid of dry scalp. Dry scalp is caused by a lack of necessary oils and moisture on your head. Keratolytic is an active shampoo inredient which helps prevent dry scalp. It breaks down the intercellular bond that holds together the skin cells on the top of the scalp, separating them out of their clumbs and allowing the moistures and oils to return to the scalp.
