Right now on first glance/thought my answer would be Kurt Angle. But I'm gonna have to think about it for a while

Both amazing but Angle was a better all-rounder, IMO.

Shawn Michaels, it should be noted, was the winner of the previous Best Wrestler.

Kurt Angle the simple fact is he IS a better wrestler.

Shawn I do feel even if you take out his back injury had time on his side. My argument is pretty much the same one as Mr. perfect if we took angle and started him at the same time as HBK I still think Kurt would have outclassed him as a wrestler (certainly as a talker) and as athlete you can debate If HBK had a better look to him. Angle like HBK wrestled a certain style but Kurt easily changes up whereas I don't think Shawn could ever get his brawling or his submission game to the level oh his high-flying.


Kurt Angle isn't even in my fave five but goddamn it he is the man.

I guess one very minor gripe I have with Shawn Michaels was that towards the end of his run his "wounded dog" act got very old. I'm not sure I felt that way about Kurt in anything he did. It's very minor, but might be enough since they're two of my favorites.

It's very tough to say how Kurt would do in any other era because learning in those eras was so different, as was the talent you learned from.

I'm going with HBK. Even just his normal body of work, he made HIAC work with his work in that, made ladder matches a popular thing and probably had the best singles one ever with Jericho. Hell, he probably had the best no-DQ match ever with HHH and that was after not wrestling for how many years? Then add in his Undertaker WM matches and the one against Ric Flair and he is just better.And that's not taking away from Kurt.

HBK gets the nod from me. While Kurt is an all time great HBK is just that much better in my opinion. While Angle would probably make it into my list of the top 10 best of all time I'd still have to think about it a bit. HBK automatically gets into that list without a second thought.

Love Angle, but HBK gets my vote. Both were fairly even, Angle a bit ahead in in-ring ability, but HBK ahead in personality, which seems to be a bit of a larger difference in my mind. HBK by a nose.
