WrestleMania 34 returns to New Orleans - April 8th, 2018
|
GOD DAMN SHIT FUCK ASS BITCH WHORE FUCK!!!
Jesus fucking Christ bring the shit to MINNESOTA VINCE YOU FUCK!! |
Bring it to San Diego. Booming weather, excellent tourist town and I live here.
|
Phoenix again. Come on.
|
Ugh
|
It does seem kind of soon to go back there -- maybe they are worried about cold climates in Minneapolis or Philadelphia? Outside of NYC maybe there won't be any WM's held in colder locales for a while since it's a big 'travel package' now.

*outside of NYC. I could see NYC getting another WM easily.
|
@DaveWadding, I have no doubt they will return to both Phoenix and Atlanta again. Depending on how RR tickets sell at the AlamoDome, it could be a contender for a future WM as well. Las Vegas and Los Angeles are both probably future locks as well when their NFL Stadiums are each complete.
|
Yeah, I predict Phoenix will get it at some point in the near future. I was thinking that Seattle would have been in the running for another one at some point too.
|
Just have them all in Florida/New Orleans from now on.
|
Minneapolis just built a new indoor stadium. Does seem really soon to bring it back to NOLA.
|
I'm surprised Toronto hasn't had it again. I was at WM18, I went to that event not sure if I've told you.

That was way before WrestleMania became a weekend of stuff. They want people to be able to walk around and not freeze. Vacation destinations only unless they get homesick.
|
Good time to bring hogan back and let him talk about the silver dome
|
Been saying it for a long time now. WrestleMania should be rotated between north and south.
They pulled it off at the right time in New York/New Jersey a few years ago. But the last few years, either somewhere in the south or California. Honestly think Vince chooses warm venues because he doesn't wanna deal with his bad arthritis in the cold weather. I agree Minnesota should have landed it. |
Lame.

4 years between the same venue is pretty ridiculous.
|
So if we're only getting WrestleMania in warm weather city stadiums from now on:
New Orleans Orlando Miami Houston Dallas Phoenix Santa Clara Pasadena? |
It sucks Mania will never come to Chicago going forward. Like 0% chance because we like to say CM Punk. WOOOOO. Idiots.

Once in a while they branch out to a different area but Florida, California, Texas, and Phoenix/New Orleans are now their main rotation for locations. |
I doubt MetLife Stadium will get another WrestleMania anytime soon. The weather isn't guaranteed to be bad, as evidenced by WM29. But now that Brooklyn gets SummerSlam and all of those associated weekend activities, I just don't think they'll double down on New York for the two biggest events in the same year.
|
While I'm happy to have gone to WM29 because WM live is automatically fun and it knocked off a bucket list item for me, I can't lie - I'll always be a bit salty that they didn't swap venues for WM29 and WM30 to keep with the tradition of every 10th Mania being in NY.
Well...mainly because WM30 is one of my favorite shows ever. Being in person to see the Streak end and Bryan winning the title would've been goddamn intense. The reason why is because they didn't want to run those venues the same years they hosted the Super Bowl, but still. |
I can see this being the last SummerSlam in Brooklyn for a while though. Didn't they just confirm there'd be three there? I mean, I wouldn't be shocked if it stayed there, but I can see them moving it to Chicago, Los Angeles or even Orlando for a few years and make that the new "home" of SummerSlam. New York might get a WrestleMania then.
|
Its better how it is. Would you rather go to Mania in a warm climate in late March/ early April or risk winter weather in places like NYC or Toronto? And I'm from Toronto and I feel that way.
I would much rather visit NYC in August vs April. NYC was only tradition because of MSG, but Mania is beyond those arenas, so you gotta treat it like the Super Bowl and favour warm cities. Maybe one day they can run MetLife for a SummerSlam if they have the right card. Once the new arena in LA is competed, I'm sure that will put LA in the rotation for Mania, again meaning Brooklyn as home for SummerSlam makes sense for the forseeable future. |
meh this doesn't suprise me

WWE has finally confirmed the story:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">As first announced by <a href="https://twitter.com/NOLAnews">@NOLAnews</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/WrestleMania">@WrestleMania</a> 34 will emanate from the <a href="https://twitter.com/MBSuperdome">@MBSuperdome</a> in New Orleans! <a href="https://t.co/S8BsOzS75e">https://t.co/S8BsOzS75e</a> <a href="https://t.co/KOmg76GmIu">pic.twitter.com/KOmg76GmIu</a></p>— WWE WrestleMania (@WrestleMania) <a href="https://twitter.com/WrestleMania/status/818522804551356416">January 9, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
I suppose this means he won't be retiring in Orlando.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The star-studded <a href="https://twitter.com/WrestleMania">@WrestleMania</a> 34 press conference in New Orleans was capped off by none other than The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Undertaker?src=hash">#Undertaker</a>! <a href="https://t.co/wJdb03TPby">https://t.co/wJdb03TPby</a> <a href="https://t.co/VTu5WKO1Vv">pic.twitter.com/VTu5WKO1Vv</a></p>— WWE WrestleMania (@WrestleMania) <a href="https://twitter.com/WrestleMania/status/818891162685739008">January 10, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
They wouldn't be able to resist having Taker go back to New Orleans for a Mania. He'll get a win there and end his career having avenged his greatest defeat.
Until he wrestles at WM35. |
