Roman Reigns.

I liked Luger back in the days when I was a young kid who thought wrestling was real and if he was a face, but the reality is that he was fucking awful. He sucked in the ring, his promos were utter shite. The guy sucked, he had the look and was in the right place at the right time, but didn't have the tools to run with it.

Roman Reigns, overall isn't terrible. He's solid in the ring, does have charisma and charm, but he's WWE's next big star, and the fact we know this, is why people are against him. I'm the same to be fair. I don't care for his character, his booking, or the way he's generally being shoved down our throat, but that's not really his fault.

But either way, he's still better than Lex Luger.

While his promos and stupid face piss me off I haven't really seen a completely god awful Roman match in a very long time.

He was. The face/heel thing with Sting, where they were still a tag and he pretended to be face, tagging hands only when Sting was watching, was hilarious. Would love to see a repeat of that storyline today.

Also, loved the Narcissist and the bionic forearm.

Not as familiar with Lex Luger's work, but it never really excites me. Roman Reigns is a flop as a babyface experiment, but he washes out with Luger in that sense. Reigns has been part of an iconic faction (and this is even in modern times), some successful WrestleMania main events, has won more championships and has been part of some great matches. The part where a draw could smash Reigns is where Luger is actually let down.

Being pedantic, but Lugar has been in both the Four Horseman and the nWo.

He has also held more major titles than Roman, with 2 WCW title runs, 5 US title runs, 2 TV title and 3 tag title runs.

They don't call him the total package for nothing.

He owes a lot to the dynamic of the group. He could be the silent bad-ass in contrast to Ambrose's front-man and Seth's aerial specialist. He doesn't have those enhancements on his own.

Luger was amazing in 95-97 and had a great run in the late 80's. Lex was way better than people give him credit

Luger. He was awesome when feuding with the NWO. He also had some classics with Flair back in the 80's. Underrated.

Meanwhile, as much as I wanna not shit on Reigns too much because I think the booking makes him look worse than he is... I give 0 fucks about him and find him to come off as awkward and forced most of the time.

I honestly think he would have got over if he had left the group as a heel and remained a silent killer, or a paid mercenary type character. People would have been salivating for a turn after a while. What he is now is fake and forced and people see right through it. I fear it is too late for him to be a massive star too, because his flaws have been brutally exposed.

Like Dale said, Lex was also at his best when he was being a bit of a dick and a poser who loved his body. He wasn't an all American hero and people never got behind him when he was presented as one.

He's Cena 2.0. From a character standpoint. He's nowhere near Cena's level as a performer but apparently WWE is dead set on just having him be a Cena clone as opposed to actually doing what works best for his look/personality specifically.

Wrestling skills wise, they both were pretty average but give Luger the nod in terms of promo skills and character/gimmick.

Star power wise, Luger was bigger overall but Reigns career is still pretty early and has a higher ceiling for his potential star power.

I just love how they were ready to hate Luger and he's essentially one of the stars of the show. And OOC is laughing his way to the bank.

Gonna have to abstain this round probably. Both of these guys suck big ol bags of donkey dicks and I'm honestly not sure who's shit stinks the worst.

Actually, scratch that. I'm gonna vote for Luger just because he was in the Wolfpack and Kevin Nash was their leader and he is god. Therefor some of his greatness wears off on Luger and it's just enough to get him the nod.
