Who do you want coming up after Mania...
Roode or Nakamura?
For me, I hope Nakamura wins and keeps the title and Roode comes up post-Mania. I look at the rosters and I just feel like Roode is ready made to be a main eventer and age isn't on his side. His whole entrance and look is awesome now and I think he is legit. At 39, I want to see him lose to Nakamura and make an impact post-Mania on either brand. What do we all think? |
Roode on SD. Especially since SD will probably have the talent purge sent to Raw.

Roode needs to be brought up immediately. He is ready, and not getting any younger.
Shinsuke... I don't know. This probably sounds like a stupid idea, but I would leave him in NXT, but give him a "special" contract to appear on Raw and Smackdown, as negotiated by Paul Heyman. Like let Shinsuke be Shinsuke, but have Heyman hype him like he does Lesnar, and just let him appear on random shows, while still being in NXT. Arrive, Break Faces, YYeeeeeaaaaoooooohhhhhhh, Repeat. |
depending on how many they want to bring up , then they will need to either release some people or send them back down to NXT, too much deadweight at the moment on both brands
Then they may go and bring up The Drifter which is a really bad move. At the moment I only see two single guys that would be able to work straight off on the main roster and that's Roode and Nakamura. I'd look forward to The Revival or DIY being brought up but after how they've been messed up American Alpha I'd be wary. |
Who is dead weight on SD?
|
Good question.
|
The Ascension
|
You could argue Carmella needs to go back to NXT to sharpen up on her ring work , she was called up way too early.
|
Add The Vaudevillians and Curt Hawkins to that as well
|
You can't argue with the man.
|
Was watching the original Ascension line-up the other day, really enjoyed their promo video and entrance when Bram was involved .

I always thought Swagger would have been a great guy to go to NXT win the belt in. A "shock" and stand atop the brand for a good while, but he's gone now. Aside from Ohno who's just come back, I can't see anybody ready for the NXT main event.
This is where holding back on an Apollo Crews would have paid off. They could probably just about afford to bring up both DIY and The Revival without completely gutting the division. You could also send Vaudevillains/Ascension back down to temporarily plug the gap/get a refresh. |
Agree with those thoughts completely, maybe they wouldn't be too happy with paying a main roster wage for a guy on NXT or they would have to take a big pay cut.
Apollo Crews is another who should do some work back down in NXT, so he could work on getting a personality |
Chad 2 Badd and Tex Ferguson should be called up

Roode to Smackdown is about all I want to see. I think Nakamura will hang around NXT a bit longer like Balor did. Don't think Ohno is ready or needed. Maybe Eric Young and sAnitY. Asuka seems like a good fit for Smackdown as well and I could see Ember Moon going to Raw considering they have some new female signings and possibly a tournament that is likely to get a few girls signed. Not really a whole lot that need a call up in my opinion after the massive call ups last year and Joe already this year.

They are dead weight in that they add very little to the show and look out of place on PPV. Vaudevillains, Ascension, Fashion Police, Hawkins, Crews, Kalisto Far too many job guys and guys who are going nowhere for a two hour show with a smaller roster. |

The post-Mania Raw crowd singing along to Roode's theme will be fucking epic as fuck.

I'd like Roode to go to Raw and Nakamura to SmackDown. Let Roode bring the NXT Title with him, who cares? He can drop it after a few months on the main roster just like Owens did.
|
I've been watching nxt from the beginging the past few months and i only watch the ppvs. The Ascension are job guys now? Thats a shame...they're tops.
|
I also would be interested to see Asuka get called up to SDL, NXT Women's title and undefeated streak still in tact after NXT TakeOver: Orlando, push her immediately to challenge for the belt at the first SD! exclusive PPV post-WM 33, still not losing at all, she wins the belt and D.B., Shane or even Triple H can issue some sort of Ultimate Warrior-esque decree that no superstar on the main roster can hold both an NXT belt and a SDL/RAW brand championship and vice-versa and as such, Asuka must dercide whether to relinquish either the NXT Women's berlt or the SDL Women's title... she gives up the NXT Women's belt and then you sert up for her to defend the SDL Women's belt vs. whoever she defeated for it or possibly even Naomi.

Nakamura, Dillinger, and Revival to Smackdown while Roode and Asuka goes to RAW.
Whatever the number is for the next callup batch, Samckdown really should get the most of the them because of their small roster especially in the midcard and main event scene. |
Asuka to SD get the women to sign a waiver in case they don't survive
Roode to RAW He's like Triple H if you take away all the stuff about Triple H you hate. Nakamura I need him to face Miz plus SD would use him better. Dolph Ziggler and Apollo Crews to NXT. Crews really needs some development and maybe they can teach Dolph to slow the fuck down a little and he can gain relevance there. Tye Dillinger??? |
Roode's music, look and the robe all remind me of a younger Ric Flair.
