Wonder if them losing out on Mike Goldberg helped play a small role. They were rumored to want him as Mauro's replacement but that didn't happen in the end with the Bellator announcement.

Either way, pretty good move overall for both sides. Mauro gets to work at a less toxic workplace environment and WWE keeps a high profile announcer from going to a potential rival company.

Yes based on the stories about NXT's backstage and stuff.

No JBL to deal with and Vince usually only shows up for specials who were two of the biggest people supposedly causing the most problems for Mauro on Smackdown.

I never said his "mental illness" isn't legit. I do think he's a pussy. Everyone has good days and bad days. He isn't the only one JBL has ALLEGEDLY "picked on" or "ribbed." He is the only one to leave the company because he couldn't handle it though.

Good for Mauro. I always thought he should have called the Takeover shows. Now if we can just get Jim Ross back for PPVs and replace JBL with someone and get rid of the extraneous third man on each booth, it would be great.

Calling him a pussy because of his reaction (due to his mental illness) actually does mean you don't see it as legit. He should just "toughen up" and "be one of the guys".

Some new details regarding Mauro and the WWE.

Palmer Canon said he left the company because of JBL constantly acting like a dick towards him. He said every time Bradshaw saw him, he made it a point to walk up to him and say "Hey, Faggot!"

Everybody knows the story about Randy Orton shitting in Amy Weber's bag, but she said what pushed it over the edge and made her quit was JBL pouring drinks over her while she was asleep on a flight, because he was pissed that she upgraded her ticket to First Class.
