I'd assume its a mix of Goldberg making the move popular like HBK with the superkick and something that looks good visually because of football like Fignuts mentioned earlier.

Right? especially after years of Goldberg ingraining it in us as a setup move

I've read that Rhyno has been finishing people with the spinebuster on Main Event recently? Think he's just not comfortable with how The Gore looks now? Or that he had to change it because of Reigns?

Probably them thinking the move should only be reserved for Reigns because of his star status. Maybe they also don't want people popping more for Ryhno's gore than Reigns' spear.

I'm sure they will give the team one last try once Scott Dawson returns from injuries. It sucks that it looks like NXT might be the height of there career because they been struck with the Injury bug.
