Say what you like about CM Punk but he was doing gts's to heavyweights and not breaking fucking orbital bones. God damn I know it aint balet but you have a dude's safety in your hands. He sucks. I've always been fairly critical about him in his NXT role, especially after Nakamura debuted, and now all the fuss WWE are making about him again, just for this to happen.

I get it, accidents do happen, but I was never a fan of the guy before WWE, so never understood/cared about the hype over his GTS, but ultimately he's now debuted on 205 and he's still the skinny guy who stands there and growls and hits tonnes of forearms and kicks, but realistically looks like he should be working in a supermarket.

I dunno, maybe I'm just struggling to think of a single memorable match/feud he's been in right now.

Well, that is somewhat true. I heard original Japanese The Ring was way better and tried to watch it. Was confused who the fuck is who after like 5 minutes. Couldn't even tell a girl from a guy.

The Dash Wilder jaw injury was in a tag match against Nakamura and Itami so who knows which one it was. Dale assumed it was a handicap match of Itami V The Revival.

I could care less that he broke someone's face, he's just not interesting. I guess being overshadowed by Nakamura and Asuka has hurt him in WWE. Both are charismatic and Itami just isn't. I think he's stuck on 205 Live until his contract expires at which point he should just go back to Japan.

Looking through everything, this looks like the first injury Itami has caused, since there seems to be nothing concrete about the Dash Wilder one. Other than injuring himself of course.

Comparatively, Punk busted Knox's jaw early on and cruiserweight Rey Mysterio's nose with the GTS.
