Yeah, a few hours before this went live as well, Kotaku were reporting that this was happening today along with the Dark Souls Remastered. The other part to that story is that Dark Souls 2 and 3 are coming eventually as well, which is delightful.

The fact we're getting Dark Souls for the Switch is amazing. Guess Nintendo want more console sales.

Never got around to playing any games in the Dark Souls series but might get this Remastered version.

Same for skipping out on getting the Wii U or 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors and likely getting the Switch version since it has everything.

They did once before on Neo Geo's shockingly long lived portable called Gal Fighters. Should be interesting to see the demographic this attracts as the only fighter with large female playerbase is astonishingly DOA. This has an aesthetic and simplified control scheme that could be massively appealing in theory, but SNK characters are exactly mainstream. Like how TNA technically started the trend of a credible women's division but... it's on TNA.

A Capcom fighter doing exactly this would be more widespread.
