WrestleMania 24

Even though it was pretty basic, have a fondness for Mania X's stage mainly because of Madison Square Garden's unique layout for wrestling. Instead of the stage being at the side like with typical WWE events, it was always in the foreground of the action in the ring.

WWE removed that unique feel with Mania XX by having the stage located on one of the sides to be like other arenas for shows.

The one in Arizona. Was it 26? Anyway, the stage was this massive pyramid. It was like the set designers were being told to make the stage bigger and better every year to the point that they just picked the most monstrous of totems to base it off of.

yeah, 26. it was pretty dope.

WrestleMania XX. I enjoyed the secondary trons on the floor and the animated graphic for whatever match was being contested being displayed in the background on the double doors, perhaps the same double doors that served as the entryway at Survivor Series 2002.

I think my favorite is Safeco Field

WM30.... Always thought that purple was the perfect combo of the past logo colours and the future....

Black Widow 03-16-2018 01:29 PM

I think it's because as soon as I started thinking of my favorite Wrestlemania sets, the vision of Ric Flair spinning around with the fireworks popped into my head. Floyd Mayweather's entrance looked amazing on that show, too. Just very aesthetically pleasing.

I do want to give a shout out to the Ultimate Thrill Ride last year, though. The ramp may have been long as shit, but I think that's OK for Mania, and it just looked cool as fuck.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-16-2018 03:54 PM

The Ultimate Thrillride put our lever.

slik 03-16-2018 03:55 PM

Was waiting for STD to argue that WM33 was not a set but a stage...or something like that tbh

Am I reading this wrong or something? What do you mean?

Shisen Kopf 03-16-2018 04:21 PM

Wrestlemania 24 easily. Then 18. And guess who was at bofum?

Anybody Thrilla 03-16-2018 04:28 PM

Since we keep mentioning 24:

Man, looking at all these sets, I'm starting to get super hype for Mania. This is the best time of the year.

Shisen Kopf 03-16-2018 04:31 PM

Yep 24 was great. Did anyone else here go?

I'm sure he was going for an unnecessary correction here but couldn't think of one, malfunctioned and reverted to jibberish.

I liked WrestleMania 24. Not really part of the stage, but I liked the orange ropes too. It felt unique and tropical. WrestleMania XIX is the other exception to my "outdoor arena" Manias, which I generally don't like much.

Madison Square Garden lends itself to Mania with X and XX both being pretty cool, but I wonder how much is just because I liked the Manias? X-7 had a great atmosphere, but again, is that just because I loved the Mania?

I'm going with 24 as my ultimate answer.

WrestleMania XIX for me

DAMN iNATOR 03-18-2018 05:04 AM

23 was kinda understated but it's my second favorite due to it being the first WM where they put the WM logo on all the ringposts. Was awesome.

GD 03-18-2018 06:46 AM

The WrestleMania 20 set was special for me. Last year’s set was extraordinary and WM XIX was pretty cool as well.

Must've been amazing...80,000+ people going nuts.

Would've loved to have been there. My mom was friends with a member of the Farhat family and it really hit me in the feels to see the late great Original Shiek inducted.
