Hulk Hogan's Xtreme Rules Apology LOL

On the Apter Chat podcast Hogan spoke of the Xtreme Rules meeting where he spoke about social media, and to be careful because everyone has a camera these days, and you never know when you would be recorded.

So much for being sorry for racist comments - instead the Hulkster's message was to be careful when busting out the N word.

NIGGA

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-21-2018 12:21 PM

yep. that's what the word was from the beginning. Feel like we have another thread about it.

Seanny One Ball 08-21-2018 03:01 PM

Hogan must think it's ok after Booker T crowned him an honorary n-word back in the day.

Fignuts 08-21-2018 03:15 PM

He probably watched Wrestlemania 19 and figured racists always win.

Bad News Gertner 08-21-2018 04:30 PM

I forgave Hogan a long time ago.

Wrestlemania 18.

Come on

Or you could be recorded and they could edit it to take it out of context. Happened with Cena being interviewed by a sports network and they edited it to have him say "you'll never be able to prove i took drugs" when it was a much longer sentence. WWE had the full footage and later the sports network had to apologise.

Yeah, in all honesty, Hogan could dropkick a baby and I wouldn't care, because X8 brother.

Fignuts 08-21-2018 05:38 PM

Also, at his age a baby is probably all he could drop kick.

Whats the correct context for

“I am a racist, to a point, fucking n****rs is offensive and unacceptable”.

Fignuts 08-21-2018 05:40 PM

And it would probably have to be a low dropkick. Catch the little fucker in his fat stupid knee.

Fignuts 08-21-2018 05:40 PM

Fuck off Savio. Don't interrupt my flow.

Bad News Gertner 08-21-2018 06:39 PM

Hogan with a basement dropkick on the baby Snitsky punted

He was saying not to rape black people.

Mr. Nerfect 08-23-2018 08:32 AM

Actually think crowds are going to shit on Hogan when he gets back. They are too "in-touch" with what a racist he is. There's the temptation to move past it and just play along with the nostalgia as people here are alluding, but I think when crowds get together, they are actually going to think "Hmm...nah...this isn't okay" and there is going to be too much of a backlash. Fans that have no problem with Hogan are going to just fire up old clips in the privacy of their own home and watch the chaos unfold and think "Lol amazing."

Putting Hogan in a match against Roman Reigns would probably implode an arena.

Big Vic 08-23-2018 08:38 AM

or vs Lashley

Swiss Ultimate 08-23-2018 08:39 AM

Is anybody seriously contemplating putting Hogan in a match in his physical condition?

Anyway, it's going to depend on the crowd. My guess is that it's no big deal for the vast majority of people.

Mr. Nerfect 08-23-2018 08:51 AM

But people aren't going to want to act like they don't care in a big group of people, because that same vast majority of people know that it is something they should care about, or at least influence their public presentation.

A vast majority of people probably don't care that Hulk Hogan is a racist. A vast majority of people also know that Hulk Hogan being a racist is pretty fucking bad. I'm honestly not sure if it will start right away. Like if the crowd that sees his return is just going to go "Yeah!" and then eventually people go "Fuck this guy," or if it starts right away, but it'll be interesting to watch.

Also, Hogan is very old now, his history is well known and he is kind of "establishment" and people don't like that. His shtick may not be as evergreen as people think. These are the fans that started turning on Goldberg because they didn't like he was having short matches and they feel they should be critical of part-timers and guys that are stars. Hogan coming out and being all "Brother, brother" might really bother what's left of the wrestling audience even discounting his overt racism.

It comes so loaded and it's such a mess. Audiences are going to feel that their fandom is too much of a process with him. Subconsciously, I mean. It'll just be this odd feeling having Hogan back, at his age, in his state, with a possible declining mental state and a highly publicized streak of being utter trash.

Actually, come to think of it, it will still be surreal when WWE actually tries to put him on TV, because the reality of it playing out is going to be so weird and something I don't think even the sponsors who are like "Yeah, it's Hulk Hogan. Sure, he deserves another chance" have even thought about. Like, they are going to get so much media attention for putting Hogan the cunt on television again just as they are going to get for putting Hogan the former wrestling star on television. The crowd reactions are then going to be a part of the story, depending on what those outlets feel about booing or cheering racists that pretend to say sorry. Audiences that cheer Hogan are going to get called out. Audiences that boo Hogan are going to get criticized. There are so many dynamics at play here, it wouldn't shock me if Hogan never appears on TV. I can see someone with sense getting really cold feet.

But they are such marks for him. That's why they're doing this in the first place. It's so weird.

Mr. Nerfect 08-23-2018 08:57 AM

People are going to respond to it though. The carny in Vince is going to love it. It might be the most pro-wrestling WWE has been in quite a while if he's brought back into the fold. It's just a shame he can't work, because him vs. The Rock or John Cena is money. Like, put that shit back on PPV money.

Look, Booker was forgiven. Lets forgive Hogan.

What does Vincent think of all of this?

A rap music video.

Seanny One Ball 08-24-2018 11:49 AM

Idiot

Swiss Ultimate 08-24-2018 01:10 PM

I think Hulk Hogan thinks white people are better than black people.

Not 100% mind you, but that's the impression that I get. That's the core issue presented when you have people opposed to race mixing these days.

My mother was from Honduras and she married my pure-bred white father and even she thought "mixed race marriage" was bad because of how "society" viewed it. She felt that the children from such marriages were often persecuted so it was better to avoid that sort of thing altogether.

I don't think that's where Hulk Hogan is coming from. I think Hogan is a giant asshole who gets a billion passes from everybody based on his former popularity and current nostalgia. I think he grew up in circles that generally looked down on black people and adapted to this 24/7 self-promotion world we live in quite well. He's obsessed with recapturing the importance he once had, but will never ever be that relevant again.

Wrestling fans, I predict, won't give a shit.

This post doesn't make sense.

Fignuts 08-26-2018 11:55 PM

Like, are you a tennis fan who accidently wandered into wrestlemania on your way to Wembley?

Swiss Ultimate 08-27-2018 08:22 AM

I hated Hogan VS. Rock.

Seanny One Ball 08-27-2018 10:05 AM

It wasn't a good match but it was worth seeing for the crowd. Sometimes you forget how good a reaction can be.

Big Vic 08-27-2018 10:20 AM

I actually really enjoyed the match.

Seanny One Ball 08-27-2018 10:25 AM

You probably just got caught up in the spectacle. It's hard to judge something from the inside out so it's surely best left to a lapsed fan like myself.

Swiss Ultimate 08-27-2018 12:40 PM

I was unhappy with the fans turning on The Rock.

Shisen Kopf 08-27-2018 12:41 PM

I was there so my opinion means more than anyone elses. I had floor seats and that match was great. The crowd was really into it and sone little kid was upset bc they were booing the Rock. Good times
