205 Live Thread (Air Date Spoilers Only)

Nese vs Cedric. Y'all should go watch it. So good.

Fignuts 10-16-2018 01:28 AM

Why does 205 not have it's own thread. More people here watch it than lucha underground . Maybe even more than njpw.

Emperor Smeat 10-16-2018 01:53 AM

There was one before but it lasted for about a month before general interest dried up.

It used to be tagged along with the the weekly Smackdown threads but ABT did have a valid point about not everyone watches 205 Live live and shouldn't have to deal with stuff openly spoiled in Smackdown threads.

Anybody Thrilla 10-16-2018 02:23 AM

There's definitely a 205 Live thread. It's out there somewhere. People were being assholes about it for some reason. Let's just make this the new one.

Is Brian Kendrick still wrestling? Serious question. He's listed on the roster page. I used to love that guy.

Mr. Nerfect 10-16-2018 03:02 AM

Oh Jesus, Hideo Itami is still employed. Remember when KENTA used to be one of the hottest acts in wrestling and both Punk and Bryan borrowed stuff from him?

Fignuts 10-16-2018 06:16 AM

He was never the same after his knee injury in Noah. His injuries in NXT didn't help.

He just turned face by being jumped out of Drew Hill and Jack Gallagher's group.

Nor his shitty repackaging. Can't really put the onus of poor booking on this one, though, because of the aformentioned injuries. A lot of his fall is due to bad luck.

Anybody Thrilla 10-17-2018 02:44 PM

Sorry for changing your thread title Dave, but I think this is as good a time as any to start a new 205 Live thread, considering it airs on Wednesdays now and not after Smackdown.

Pretty interested in seeing what they have in store for Mike Kanellis now that they're finally going to use him.

That was great. I love Drew Gulak so much.

Given that he's nearly 40 I kinda wonder if Kendrick's gonna be retreating to a backstage role fairly soon.

Anybody Thrilla 10-17-2018 03:26 PM

Yeah, I never thought of Kanellis as a cruiserweight, but if it gives him (and more importantly, Maria) something to do, then I'm all for it.

Remember when Kendrick was helping Eva Marie train on Total Divas? Yeah, me neither. :shifty:

I think Buddy Murphy will make a great champ. Cedric was pretty great, too. I wasn't too excited when he first won it, but he grew into it very well.

Mr. Nerfect 10-20-2018 09:13 PM

I was thinking yesterday about what a great job Kendrick did getting Ronda ready.

Yeah, it's a shame. He also hasn't been presented in the best light. I hope he's saving a lot of money.

DaveWadding 10-21-2018 04:20 AM

the Fatal 5 Way this week was pretty good for a flippy clusterfuck.

Anybody Thrilla 10-21-2018 02:21 PM

Yeah, a little clunky due to trying to shoehorn in multi-person spots, but pretty fun overall. Hometown crowd was hot for Lio.
