What matches do you think will happen at WrestleMania 35?
 

• HHH needing pec surgery likely means no HHH/Batista
• I don't foresee Roman being able to wrestle for 1-2 years
• I am guessing KO will still be out due to his knee surgery
• I know Rock was rumored to do something (like wrestle Roman) but since The Rock is practically the busiest actor in Hollywood I can't see anything past a WM32 style appearance tbh

I think Cena will definitely wrestle (I'm not sold on Taker or HBK wrestling yet, but I don't 'not expect' them to either)

Batista/Orton maybe?
Braun vs Drew or Dean maybe?
Seth vs Dean or Drew maybe?
HBK vs AJ or DBry maybe?
Cena vs. ??? (no clue!)
Ronda vs. Charlotte
Taker vs ??? (no clue!)


Definitely feels like more of an opening playing field than we've had for a long time, which I dig.

Honestly if Roman and HHH are both out it wouldn't be a huge surprise to me if they just throw Rock and Batista together as a special attraction match and they can just handle their own buildup outside of WWE programming.

Rock versus HBK would be the only thing worth it.

If they're smart they'll grab Jericho for a "dream match".

If I was booking it, I'd probably figure out a way to unite the brands.

Rock would struggle but IMO HBK could carry him better than he could the three other geriatrics. Also, Rock was great in the ring, but his bodybuilding physique will only lead to him being gassed in 2.5 minutes.

They very well could mesh badly, but I'd still be interested to see what they could do.

Ronda vs. Charlotte vs. Becky in the main event

Since Roman is out, may as well have women be the main event/last match for the "historic first time ever" at Wrestlemania.

I could have actually seen Asuka vs Rhonda doing just that if they hadn't bungled asuka so god damn hard.

I didn't even know Rock/Bret were 'cool' w/ eachother...just assumed Bret hated him since Bret hates everyone.

This and Shawn was apparently a right cunt to Rock's mom.

Time changes lots, but the most I saw them doing was some interaction in the Royal Rumble. It's "working together" without really working together, if you know what I mean?

Those Rock rumors were there, but they seem to be dying away. If Rock comes back, I expected him to against Triple H, but with Triple H injured (not to wish ill on the guy, but thank god he's hurt so he can't stank it out), the only match I really see for Rock is Brock. Rock has said he would do it. There's something that doesn't feel right about two part-timers going at it for the part-time World Title, but I don't think it matters to them when they have that marquee. I'd love to see Brock vs. Shawn though.

If they don't get Rock, I see Seth getting the Brock spot. The moment of Seth beating Brock (again) at WrestleMania, this time earnestly, and this time with Roman Reigns coming out and giving him a hug to close the show, is a moment that you just know Vince wants. If this happens, I imagine Seth wins the Royal Rumble. I mean, there is something to the story of no one being able to unseat Brock, except for Reigns, and he couldn't do it at WrestleMania.

I imagine the AJ vs. Shawn "dream match" is looking more and more likely. I think both men are gods, but I kind of worry whenever something is billed as a dream match. At this point it being for the WWE Title is about as logical as anything. I can see them hedging their bets and having Shawn cost AJ the belt or something to set up a different title match between guys who "need it." Joe and Cena? I don't know. I think it's pointless speculating the SmackDown side, because they seem to just book the guys they want in matches against each other and then randomly select which match they want to have the belt involved. I'd be fine with AJ vs. Brock and Seth vs. Shawn too. But I'm just randomizing possibilities now.

I doubt they deviate from the plan with the women. I'd be surprised if Charlotte Flair is not involved with Ronda come WrestleMania. Becky is not high priority and they will be hoping she cools off by then. I can see her beating Asuka or something if she's still worth putting on the main card. I can't see her getting involved in the Ronda/Charlotte stuff unless it's not the main event, in which case, they won't give a fuck and she can eat a loss.

I'm kind of "expecting" Rey vs. Almas, Bryan vs. Nakamura and Miz & Maryse vs. Rusev & Lana, but they could also all just happen on TV next week too.
