This is the first time in years the road to the Royal Rumble begins and I'm not really interested/excited at all.

I'll watch tonight, but I don't feel invested.

Doesn't help that only 2 of the 60 participants have been announced.

I'll tune in for Lesnar, hopefully he opens the show so I can have an early out.

slik 01-06-2020 07:09 PM

I am curious to see who faces Brock at RR and jobs to him

Ricochet
Drew
KO
Samoa Joe
Rey

are my guesses for the choices

GD 01-06-2020 07:16 PM

It'd amusing to see him enter the Rumble for no reason whatsoever.

slik 01-06-2020 07:19 PM

Here's your early preview of WM36

Stars from the past return
Multi-person matches that don't mean anything in the end
Matches with stipulations that don't mean anything in the end
"Exciting" cameos from "celebrities"

Same. I’m always gonna watch the Runble because the Runble matches themselves always have the potential to be fun....but it’ll likely be right back to cancelling my sub after that and Mania would be a tough sell for me if it’s the usual crap they’ve been doing.

slik 01-06-2020 08:11 PM

Brock is entering the Royal Rumble at number 1. His title won't be on the line.

xrodmuc316 01-06-2020 08:12 PM

Ok, that is a good hook.

Sounds like every single episode of dynamite.

GD 01-06-2020 08:14 PM

Cain Velasquez is probably going to eliminate Brock Lesnar and go on to challenge him for the strap at Mania.

slik 01-06-2020 08:18 PM

I assume whoever eliminates him is his WM opponent?

Emperor Smeat 01-06-2020 08:19 PM

Guess that confirms the rumors of WWE having no idea what to do with Lesnar at the Rumble and possibly Mania if the backup plan was to just stick him in the Rumble. Also an indictment of how badly they've built up anyone to be a worthy challenger to Lesnar since his last match.

On the flip side, the champion being in the Rumble and fending off potential threats to his belt at Mania was something I always wanted to see. WWE just did a terrible job building up anyone to be at Lesnar's level.

Vega is the only thing I like about Charlotte's bf.

Lucha libre chants.

slik 01-06-2020 08:24 PM

Wait a second, this makes even less sense.

Brock is entering the RR match because he has never won it before...Brock won the 2003 Royal Rumble. He entered at #29 and eliminated The Undertaker to win.

Sepholio 01-06-2020 08:28 PM

They should put the title on the line in the Rumble. That would make it interesting.

Maybe he meant winning the Rumble match as WWE Champion. Then again, Hogan has already done that.

Emperor Smeat 01-06-2020 08:42 PM

Such a stupid ending to a very good match.

WWE has a knack of taking something good and overbooking it too much or ending it in a very anti-climatic way.

GD 01-06-2020 08:43 PM

Random stat...A reigning WCW, World Heavyweight or Universal Champion has never entered the Royal Rumble match. Champions who've entered the Rumble include Hogan and Reigns as WWE Champion, Andrade as NXT Champion, and Chavo Guerrero as ECW Champion.

Evening, kids. Just finished night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom.

Miss anything interesting on Raw?

GD 01-06-2020 08:45 PM

Joe's gotta a guy. I hope it's Drew McIntosh.

Heyman announced Lesnar is entering the Royal Rumble but no WWE title on the line.

Rey vs. Andrade was very good but ended in a very dumb way.

ClockShot 01-06-2020 08:47 PM

Uh huh.

Why would the Universal title be on the line :p

My bad. Still keep mixing up the belts because of how long RAW had the Universal belt and both of WWE's top belts looking the same.

GD 01-06-2020 08:57 PM

I can relate :y:

Emperor Smeat 01-06-2020 08:59 PM

Did they ever explain why the Street Profits suddenly got a title shot at the tag belts?

Like if beating the OC last week was meant to be an unannounced #1 Contender's match, then why are the OC getting a title shot as well?

GD 01-06-2020 09:02 PM
