How have they not learned from AEW Dynamite? Perfect no audience live shows so far. A taped WrestleMania is ignorant.

RP 03-28-2020 10:26 PM

I'm amazed at how bad this company is now. Impact might be better.

Simple Fan 03-28-2020 10:31 PM

Impact has been better for awhile. Story wise at least.

If this was something done as a new fan series for their Youtube channel or Network, it probably would have been a pretty good idea.

Doing it for live shows feels like it would become cringeworthy to watch after a while, especially if those shown on tv are only allowed to give positive reactions as a requirement.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't consider green screens as a way to have a live crowd reacting, cheering, chanting the way they want them to and to have the performers play up to a later added crowd.

Very interesting

9/10 chance the fans would try to hog the spotlight from the actual matches and at some point there'd be one jacking off to Alexa Bliss or something...

Simple Fan 03-29-2020 02:24 AM

Rightfully so.

Yeah, that's why I think they can't do this with just any fans.... they would need to either do "celebrities" or rigorously screen the fans, and probably still need to pre-tape them to be safe.

Somehow Green Shirt Guy and Brock Lesnar Fan would be in two of the squares

Sepholio 03-29-2020 04:05 AM

So would #1 ROMAN REIGNS FAN and prob that one little girl who is every, Izzy or whatever her name was.

RP would be the guy jerkin his gerkin over Alexa.

I think this is silly but also for some it may be a big hit. I would try it out sure, but I don't watch WWE on my computer so IDK if my frame would be a tight as those shown. I'll give them some space on heat for this it's not a horrible idea, and if you don't have to watch it that way then it's a great idea.

Gerard 03-29-2020 10:37 AM

They already alter reactions in their youtube highlights vids so adding crowd noise would be nothing new.

drave 03-29-2020 12:06 PM

If this is an option and not the "only" way to watch some shit, then whatever. There are people who enjoy that.

As others have said, there will have to be some major vetting and/or pre-taped stuff. It'll 100% be based around positive views only, as anything that even detracts from "OMG WWE AWESOME" is shit-canned.

screech 03-29-2020 12:37 PM

I do not like this idea. That screenshot looks like an awful way to watch a show.

If they make it an option we can toggle on/off, that'd be ideal (people will probably enjoy it).

But I'm out if this is the only way they present their shows.

Droford 03-30-2020 08:21 AM

Trying to figure out how theyd get around the delay

Emperor Smeat 03-31-2020 10:23 PM

Apparently videos of this potential idea from WWE's survey were also released. One featuring the option to watch fan videos with no sound and the other option with sound turned on.

No sound:

That is not good. I watch the show to see what the rasslers are doing, not to see random people react.

It's why I hate the influx of cuts to the crowd after big spots.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-01-2020 02:53 AM

I stand by my idea to have green screened the audience portion of the center and key in crowds and reactions.

drave 04-01-2020 08:18 AM

they could use the set that was used for The Mandolorian. That'd be cool AF
