Noid loves AEW
Noid is an AEW mark who doesn’t understand how well they are working him. His passion for the brand is unparalleled and it’s purely because the Bucks and Omega are the greatest heels of all time working him like the mark he is.

Blander than ever.
|
I appreciate that I am more interesting than the modern rasslin' though. You'd think the point of working me would be to get money out of me. And do more than 675k in your main event segments. Whoops.
|
Well to be fair, not just you. Marks like you and Cornette.
|
Sounds like you’re emotionally attached.
|
I dunno man, a quick post from time to time riling you up while I take a crap vs. your seeming daily obsession with AEW.
P.S The Dark order are the greatest faction of all time. |
TIL that anybody pissing me off is actually working me.
|
This makes X Pac the real top heel

Don't get a stiffy thinking about me while you're on the shitter. Nothing worse than your Noid-boner almost reaching the cold porcelain. |

The fatal flaw with AEW is not something that they did. It's the COVID. They cant have live shows. And that is a huge part of there success. It's a huge part of there broadcast even. They need that pub. And they are not getting it. WWE can get away with it now and survive because Vince has the money. Does Khan want to stay in is the big question.
|
Orange Cassidy is a monster draw. But he's a monster draw partly because of live crowds. When he does his act ( which i love ), it falls short. No crowd. It seems lame.
|
Orange Cassidy is not a monster draw. His main event segments get beaten by NXT by about 270k viewers.

I've thought about this a lot over the years and I think it boils down to him in DX essentially being the mouthy little asshole that pissed you off enough to swing at him before you realise he has three big brothers who always back the fucker up. He just looked like he didn't deserve the company he kept because he was a prick. X Pac was not a good face at all. Even as a heel he just annoyed people because he reminds you of untouchable people you could easily whoop if they weren't so well connected. |
You've missed the point
|
Seeing him go over guys regularly was a waste of his in ring ability and theirs.
He should have been used as a rag doll for Farooq and Bradshaw every week instead of cleanly beating them and guys twice his size. |
X-Pac's work as a face is severely underrated. As a slimy prick, he did have something though. He bounced around like fuck for guys. Would have been interesting to see what he did in 2001 had it not been for the Invasion stuff.

At what point did this become about X-pac? Dont say you're responding to others. Do that in some other thread. At no point did i mention X-Pac. Stop it now! |
Noid... you have to stop being an ass at some point. Right?

You asked me, I'm telling you what me and the other haters seem to agree on. He wasn't remotely sympathetic, he looked like a douchebag so I enjoyed it when bad things happened to him but I'd rather he just wasn't there at all. He could do the work, he just had no appeal even as a bumper. Nowadays people appreciate workrate more so his stuff is re-evaluated retrospectively. But you'd be hard pressed to tell me his presentation was good. When he was with Kane, Kane should have been the mouthpiece. |
A great wrestling heel is one you love to hate, one who you enjoy as a piece of the overall show like a baddie in a James Bond film.
X Pac was more like a rapist in a Gaspar Noe film, tasteless trash that you wish had never been included but now that he is you wish he was dead. |
My old neighbor looked exactly like X-Pac.

Are you absolutely positive it's not Ralphus?

AEW couldn't afford Ralphus now

Sorry Seanny, but X Pac was an awesome face. The reason people turned on him is because he never evolved his character. He was still doing the DX schtick well after the group had disbanded, and people grew sick of it. His work in the ring was still good, but he was so unlikeable (in a channel-changing way) that it didn't matter.
|
Beating Kane like a drum for months didn't help
|
Yeah, that feud needed to die way earlier.
|
X Pac wasn't an awesome face, he was a wee knob that survived on association.
He failed as a solo because he had no credibility as anything other than a bumper. Nobody liked X Pac, they liked DX and Kane. |
This is the danger of hindsight, you're not using the mindset of a contemporary fan at all.
|
Bullshit, Seanny. I loved X Pac as a face. Especially when he was teaming with Kane. Very good at garnering sympathy. He was great as 123 kid as well.
