All of the men's matches have great potential. Hoping Mox/Cage can deliver a fun brawl after the dull affair that was his match against Hager.
I can get behind Cody's open challenges as an every other week thing, but don't want to see it every week since AEW's got a pretty big roster to showcase. It's been two weeks since his last defense so I hope he keeps it up. All told I'm not all that familiar with Sonny Kiss' work since he's mostly been working Dark or tag matches so I'm keen to see this one. FTR/Luchas has the potential to be amazing since both teams are brilliant in completely different ways. 6-man tag will be chaotic fun. Brandi Rhodes is pretty awful in the ring so I don't have high hopes for that one regardless of opponents. But hey Brandi and Allie in ring gear is at least something nice to look at. |
Gonna watch FTR vs Lucha Bros. and Cage vs Moxley. Not much interest in anything else.
Mox’s reign hasn’t been great in terms of match quality. The Hager match in particular was pretty brutal to sit through. Cage is more versatile than anyone else he’s faced so far, so hopefully they get a good result. |

How smart are The Bucks? I get different accounts of them either being cunning as foxes or completely oblivious. They bring in FTR and FTR are almost immediately iced. They do bullshit WWE entertainment stuff and lose in their first big match (The Bucks took the pin though, so it's all good, wink, wink). Then they book themselves to team with Kenny Omega against Marko Stunt, which has just enough of a "we're going to be working with Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus" guise that they can justify it. Omega is going to do a bunch of ridiculous things with Stunt. You just know it. But it won't be The Bucks, wink, wink, and they'll probably win, wink, wink.
I swear they are trying to make FTR look fucking ridiculous for trying to be serious tag wrestlers in their promotion because they are threatened by their critical plaudits. |

Cody has honestly been the most consistently great wrestler in the company, and does a better job of emotionally connecting to the audience than anyone else.
It will be an interesting to see if he can deliver in a match with a joke character like Sonny. Especially in an empty arena match. |

Apparently they've switched The Elite vs. JB and His Losers to a Tag Title Match. Haha, AEW getting rattled by those numbers and realizing that more comedy bullshit might not be the way to go. If they do that, I can see them switching the belts to hot-shot things along.

Lot more masks in the crowd for this week's show. Not sure if that's a good sign or not considering Florida's handling of the coronavirus and what happened in WWE when they suddenly started going all in for masks.

Solid match. Not great. Sonny looked good but it didn't go at the pace i thought. Solid outing tho.
