Looks cool.... hopefully they can market the F out of it in a way that will make people forget the first one

I didn't mind the first one too badly. It was probably a 2/4 film but I liked Will Smith in it.
Shit baddie though and it was too damned cheesy.

The first one was paced weirdly and had a one dimensional villain, but I still enjoyed it for what it was, and thought it got more hate than it deserved.

Did they recast deadshot or is Idris playing a different character? Because Idris doesn’t seem like a good fit for the character.

There was a black one after, who I dont believe was a white supremacist. Forget his origin now. I remember he fought the white one, though.

Ya know I’m actually surprised that in today’s PC obsessed culture, the name “suicide squad” hasn’t been called out as being insensitive.

Bloodsport is the dumbest name I have heard yet

The first film is two hours of my life I wish I could have back. I will not be going near this one.

That's why it's a dumb name for a guy though.

Nobody thinks beyond Van Damme's seminal masterpiece when they hear "Bloodsport".
It's one of those pieces of pop culture so strong that it will take generations to replace.

Pretty much when Van Damme's is relegated to pub quiz status in 200 years.

Never mind, got this backwards.... the black Bloodsport was the original, and he was some crazy Vietnam vet who got powered up by Lex Luthor to try to kill Superman. White supremacist one came after..... they would later box each other in prison because the warden thought it would be a good idea

Haven't paid attention to much about it, but it does seem completely separate (other than sharing some characters obviously).

Completely it's own thing. Still has Deadshot in it (the game), and a tattoo'd King Shark.

Figgy and LJ are right in conjunction; it's so 90s, they used the name twice! Surprised there wasn't a Marvel Bloodsport.

I wonder if they're going to find a way for him to teleport in weaponry, or if they somehow make it a super power, or just try to change him into "totally not Will Smith Deadshot" and hope nobody notices?

Does he have a car called Motorsport, a wife called Watersports and some kids he never sees called No Contact Sports?

I'll admit it; that new trailer is better than the original Suicide Squad film. But given how much of shitfest the last one was, that does not take much.

Yeah.... they really "Guardians of the Galaxy"d the trailer for the first one because it was big at the time.... then because the reception to the trailer was so great they reshot bits and re-edited the movie to try to be more in-line with the tone of the trailer and ended up a bit of a mess....

This time around they just went out and got the Guardians of the Galaxy dude and had that be the tone from the start, so I've got hopes for this movie! F yeah, Starro.

i do think it will be better...but its important to remmeber the trailer was super hype and the film was a fucking dumpster fire

To be fair, Suicide Squad wasn't the first and won't be the last movie to not be as good as its trailer. So, not like that was a unique "Suicide Squad"-specific occurrence.

I mean, usually sequels are disappointing because the original sets the bar high..... when the original sets the bar low... probably going to be easy to be better.

The Harley Quinn movie was way better than suicide squad and was a quasi sequel to that movie. I have hopes James Gunn can save this and make at the very least entertaining. King Shark looks like he’ll steal the show.

great trailer. i'm on board. pretty sure boomerang, mongal, savant, whoever pete davidson is playing, tdk, weasel and the rest of "team 1" except for flagg are going to die immediately—hence the need for "team 2", who seem to actually be the focus of the film
