Goldberg and Bret Hart

Bill Goldberg's official website has just been updated with a very interesting piece of news:

Goldberg attended the Stanley Cup Finals game on Saturday night courtesy of the NHL, and following the game, he had dinner with Bret Hart. Goldberg and Hart again met together on Sunday. Goldberg's site promises to have exclusive information about the time the two stars spent together in the near future.

As many may remember, Hart's in-ring career came to an end, as the result of a kick to the head he took from Goldberg during a match between the two in WCW.

Well, at least it sounds like Bret was a good sport about it. I mean, I don't think I'd be able to hang around with the guy that gave me a career-ending concussion without holding a grudge, but if things did go by smoothly, then more power to him.

John la Rock 06-02-2004 02:39 AM

that'a a surprise to me. Goldberg must have finally apologized. :y:

I think Bret knows that there are risks involved in wrestling also. I mean, sure Goldberg didn't have to kick Bret as hard as he did, but there still are risks invovled. It could have been alot worse - look at Droz.

*Spears Goldberg down*

**BOWS DOWN TO THE HITMAN**

Yeah Bret Hart is a champ. He knows Goldberg didn't do anything on purpose, even if he is a big oaf. I wouldn't expect him to hold any grudges against Goldberg for it. That just goes to show you what kind of man Bret Hart is. He will take deeper offense to being screwed over by people he trusted, than to a guy who accidentally ended his career. I'm just thankful that, and I'm sure Bret is as well, Bret had his time to shine.

Best there is, best there was, and the best there ever will be. This is just another reason why.

has anyone one seen the Shoot interview that Bret hart did on TWC?? it was a few years ago now,but he still seemed real pissed with goldberg and had NOTHING good to say about him.

The Mackem 06-02-2004 07:56 AM

He seemed more pissed off by the fact that Goldberg didn't acknowledge that he did something wrong/bad.

HankScorpio 06-02-2004 08:00 AM

Definately, Maybe Goldberg really is slow, its taken him that long te realize "Duh, I did wrong?"

c4g2 06-02-2004 08:16 AM

Anyone have a clip of Goldberg on Punk'd? I wanna see his face when he thought his bike had been destroyed...

HankScorpio 06-02-2004 08:20 AM

If only the truck had hit it....then him

c4g2 06-02-2004 08:26 AM

*Goldberg comes out to see his expensive bike destroyed.*

Goldberg: Duh? Wuh happenuh to muh bike?
Bystander: I just saw that UPS truck mow it down!
Goldberg: Wuh? UPS truck? Why did he doh thuh?
Bystander: I don't know... Maybe-

*Goldberg sees a DHL truck coming in their way and jumps into conclusions*

Goldberg: Yuh! Yuh did it!
Bystander: No! It was a UPS truck, I tell you-
Goldberd: YOU'RE NEXT!!!

*Goldberg sets up for the spear and runs towards the fast approaching truck*

*crunch*

Actually, he didnt have an "Ahh shit, my baby just got hit!" look on his face, cause the truck missed and the pyro went off to late.

As soon as he saw the fuckups, he just turned to the guys around him and asked "Ok, who do I get to kill first?"

Then Kutcher ran out and was bummed that it didnt go off as planned.

HankScorpio 06-02-2004 12:51 PM

Exactly! If it went the way C4G2 said it would've been perfect and downright hilarious

I almost feel guilty saying this, but I'd PAY to see that. ;)

Corkscrewed 06-02-2004 02:18 PM

So would I... no wait, I wouldn't pay... :shifty:

Rob 06-02-2004 06:46 PM

For the record, Goldberg has been sorry about what happened ever since it happened. I asked him if Bret was ever coming back and he was gutted he thought he wasn't (this was before Bret officially hung the bootss up).

Bret Hart is a God
