Very probably fake, but way to try and make me not give a shit about Bryan Danielson too.

It’s probably someone reading the tea leaves of there not being any more Daniel Bryan WWE merchandise. If they cut it off because someone there knows they can’t talk to him because he is under contract, then the story easily writes itself. The WWE side possibly knows and could leak it even though AEW would want to keep it close. If it comes from an AEW source (and allegedly it does), then they are probably just trying to wax it for more attention knowing the debut isn’t coming for a while.

I’m still not convinced. I don’t think Bryan is that much of a...mark. I know he’s done stupid shit on the indies, but AEW is where art goes to die. I desperately want him to sign with a promotion that is neither WWE nor AEW, because they’re both just going to be ineffective shit. It’s not going to be shocking. Just disappointing.

Oh well. He’s a grown-ass man. Just sucks seeing your favourite wrestler go do bad theatre.

My optimism makes me forget that this is zombie wrestling, and it doesn’t matter if Bryan’s retired, active, headlining WrestleMania or opening at Fight for the Fallen. It doesn’t matter one flying fuck. And that makes me so sad.

Edge has looked in-ring since coming back. I know he had that hiatus for a bit, but he delivers in his matches, and I don't even really like him.

I’m miffed by Edge. He’s just going all out. He’s obviously talented and smart, but how he can do it is just freakish.

I would laugh if this all turns out to be leveraging talks, and AEW has jumped the gun prematurely, AGAIN, and Bryan and Punk both end up in the WWE and AEW is left debuting Braun Strowman in New York.

Given what’s already happened, that’s far more likely than 0. I think a lot of people are just taking these talks “more seriously” because you’d think this promotion wouldn’t be that stupid AGAIN.

I dont know if I trust AEW to protect Daniel Bryan. This is a dude that admitted to post concussion seizures and a brain lesion. What if he ends up in a Matt Hardy situation? WWE made him work much safer, you think Tony Khan has the stones to stand up to Bryan? I think not, he is too much of a mark.

Based on the fact that Tony Baloney is a mark and they fetishize hardcore wrestling, Danielson's well being is certainly at risk.

Daniel Bryan is a fucking adult with a wife and kids. If he’s dumb enough to go out there and do shit that would put him at high risk that’s on him for taking the gig. And Vince let him take a fucking apron bien the night he was cleared. Let’s not pretend any promoters have the best interest of the talents in mind because they don’t.

They said, I’m excited for the idea and he doesn’t have to drastically change what he does to protect himself and still put on good matches. My biggest question is what song does he use.

Bryan can largely protect himself. I don’t think they’re going to put him out there with a bunch of dudes who are going to drop him on his head. Hopefully. But his concussion stuff is probably largely exaggerated by the WWE narrative. That being said, it’s going to be gross as shit if Bryan gets his bell rung and the match keeps going.

I don’t think he’ll protect himself through booking. Look at how willing he was to job in the WWE. I’ve got a feeling he’ll be just another guy having matches.

Is there some massive track record of leaked AEW signings that didn't come to fruition that I'm missing? I know some people were underwhelmed with Christian as their big surprise signing at Revolution but it's not like any leaks came out suggesting it was gonna be a bigger name.

The only AEW leak gone wrong that I can remember was Marty Scurll as the Exalted One. They'd started the angle without having their planned guy under contract and then he chose to re-sign with ROH. A fuck up at the time, sure. But in hindsight it was a blessing as they got a far more entertaining performer in Brodie Lee in the role, and of course Marty turned out to be a pedo sex pest.

No I don't think there is a track record just people trying to look for the negative.

I find speculation to be full of FUD. Fuck FUD, do your own DD and if you like it, buy it or watch it. I like the stock.
