Last night a record TPWW Watch-along audience witnessed a volatile situation as “Pistol” Pez Whatley attacked and humiliated “Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant after a comment that many have deemed... racist and offensive.

Like, does Pez not know he's black? Is this a Clayton Bigsby situation?

Tony Schiavone has made it a point to praise Pez as a great black wrestler whenever he wrestles. But Pez doesn’t watch his own matches. So hearing “black” as a qualifier for his talent from his best friend shook him.

Is he wrong for cutting this honky’s ponytail? Or is this honky wrong for making it a race thing? That’s the conundrum.

Both men cut promos on the show explaining their side of the story. Video is in the watch-along thread. I’ll timestamp it tomorrow for those who need to hear both sides of the story.

It's amazing how once it becomes white vs black how quickly Pez becomes a bastard heel. Funny and kind of fucked but very entertaining. This program needs David Schultz.

18:39 in. Pez explains himself(?) followed by a heartbroken Boogie Woogie Man comparing the feeling of being attacked by his best friend to the feeling of catching your wife sleeping with another man. Hard not to feel for Boogie.
