Best show on TV? Love it. Intense season so far.

Sick.

Keep hearing about it so thinking of watching it... but idk if I would like it. Barely know anything about it but seems to be about annoying rich ppl so never thought I'd like it... but maybe I'll try

Never seen it. Don't think I'll ever watch. "Look at rich people behaving like assholes" doesn't interest me in the slightest. Dime a dozen.

The first episode had a pretty cruel rich people prank on the domestic help towards the end.
I wasn’t really up for too much more of that, it wasn’t done in a funny way.

It's "Empire" but with white people and a different industry.

But every major character is freaking repulsive... Not really good heel heat either, just hate everyone and get mad when I see them...

Only somewhat likeable character is cousin Greg...

Greg the Egg.

It's one of those "love it or don't" type shows.

To me, it's akin to Billions, except everyone is a straight up asshole. And being a well-written asshole is enjoyable; being a poorly written asshole nets you a loathsome character like Sam Larusso.

I will say, though, I caught this over the house of family who was watching it in a later season, and then I started watching it from the beginning myself... the writing quality is noticeably better in time. I'm not 100% sure I'd have stuck with it if I didn't know where this was going.

Can’t wait for season 4. Big Peepshow fan too so enjoy what the creator puts out.

I might have to give it another go now.

I saw Will Ferrell and cohort as producers but I didn’t bother to note Jesse Armstrong as the creator. It surely picks up to become a farce at some point?

Peep Show is one of the best sitcoms ever made. One of the only truly innovative sitcoms in the last few decades.

I'm like 8 episodes into the first season and I like it... has def grown on me

Nowhere near as funny as Peep Show (much more of a drama with some comedy thrown in so that's expected) but is pretty funny and sometimes has 1 or 2 "laugh out loud" parts in an episode

Just an interesting side note from something I noticed today:

So, I was listening to the Cornette Omnibus on "Vince McMahon stories" today, and it occured to me that Succession can almost be one for one analogues for them and who gets control of WWE when Vince kicks. I chuckled over the thought of this being fictionalized McMahons.

Finished the first season, ended up really liking it

Neat show, Tom getting his cum recycled at his bachelor party still one of my fave things. Greg/Tom the best dynamic

Last couple eps of S1-first couple eps of S2 high point of the show I think…S3 was really good too though

Never seen it... dnt feel like investing in it... would be cool to talk abt it though

It’s the relationship between Greg and Tom that has Peepshow elements to it.

Yeah I’ve seen the first four episodes now and I can see a bit of that emerging as comic relief. Odd show.

S1E5 is great fun so far. Now that I know who everybody is and what their motivations are all I really want to see is more of Tom and Greg. The speaker phone scene made me laugh out loud, hopefully this next bit of stoner espionage lives up to it’s promise.

Greg is choppin’ it up.

S1E6 Tom is going to take him out and show Greg how to be rich, but not before talking to his fiance’s bro’s about fuckin’ her.

Roman tricks a therapist into diving headfirst into the shallow end of a swimming pool.
That was very well done.

Each of the last few episodes has at least one big laugh in it so far. I love a good unexpected guffaw.

Just finished season 1.

It took a few episodes to get going, but it’s a tremendous show once everyone’s role is established and the plot unfolds. It’s a show with a classical feel to it, the writing is essentially dramatic prose but it builds so gracefully towards outright buffoonery that the big laughs catch you off guard even when you can see the situation setting itself up.

I can see why I was encouraged to stick with it.

That makes my happy.

I’m a sucker for high level smut, and this show doesn’t waste a gag.

Three seasons of high quality writing and exceptional performers. This is as good as OZ, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Justified...all of the truly great showcases of writing and acting that have existed in my lifetime.

This is the only one that was repeatedly recommended to me to the point I had to watch several seasons of it.

Destor was the first, I remember him saying we all needed to give it a go.
Well he wasn’t wrong.
In fact he was right.
