Wild predictions for 2022
 

I always like doing these sorts of things. Stretch the imagination a bit, maybe tease yourself with zany optimism and make some outlandish forecasts for the upcoming year, then see how many of them come even close to reality.

Is there a major change in a roster you see coming? Is there someone that isn’t focused on right now you see getting a major push? Does Vince McMahon actually step away from creative? Just for fun, let’s see your wild predictions for 2022 in the world of wrestling.

As critical as I am of AEW, I actually see them negotiating a slot on the CW Network for yet another wrestling show. Viacom-CBS and Warner are partners in the network, and Viacom is getting into bed with WOW. I can see TK wanting a wrestling presence on network television.

I also see Tony Khan outbidding the WWE for ROH, since Vince has stockholders he has to appeal to. TK keeps ROH running, keeps providing Sinclair with the syndicated programming, and uses it to send talent away for a bit, bring talent in, etc. He’ll then also have an extra 19 years of a video library to put onto a streaming service one day.

The Iron Shiek WILL, in fact, make it into the ring in time for the WM17 Gimmick Battle Royal before WrestleMania 38.

Braun Strowman comes back to WWE to be the one who takes the title from Roman Reigns. He just shows up one day and beats him up and yells "I TOLD YOU I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOUUUUUU" and then tips over the ring

Legit prediction aside from the ring tipping over?

the ring tipping is the most believable part? dafuq is wrong with you man?

It was a joke at first but then I started thinking about who could possibly take the belt off Reigns and aside from Lesnar no one seemed on that level. Having Braun come back after being gone and return in a dominating fashion like the days before they "ruined him" could be an option.

I could see them rehiring him. Not sure I can see them putting him over Reigns, but if you’re right I’ll owe you a Coke.

Depends how they treat him when he comes back... right now I can't imagine anyone on the current roster being "good enough" to beat Reigns.

I’m in a similar boat. That would be interesting. I don’t know if they’ve thought about who is going to take it off Reigns next. I can see Brock for a bit, but you’re right about no one really being on that level.

Maybe Gable Steveson in 2023? That’s not an actual prediction.
