Supreme Olajuwon 08-01-2022 10:33 PM

Name a Dream Team match you fucking frauds.

Lock Jaw 08-01-2022 10:39 PM

I don't even know who the Dream Team are........

Probably still better than Young Bucks tho

Vastardikai 08-01-2022 10:42 PM

Wrestlemania 2, them dropping the belts to the Bulldogs.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Brutus Beefcake.

Triple A 08-01-2022 11:07 PM

Mulkeys vs Gladiators choice is messed up in the poll... only 1 option

Supreme Olajuwon 08-01-2022 11:14 PM

When you losers die (hopefully soon) you’ll have to explain to God why you caped for Brutus fucking Beefcake

Lock Jaw 08-01-2022 11:15 PM

First he'll have to explain what "caped" means

Bad News Gertner 08-01-2022 11:30 PM

Beefcake is a better worker than the Bucks

It was a joke choice, referencing the only time the Mulkeys ever won a match. They have already been eliminated.

Mr. Nerfect 08-02-2022 05:17 AM

It appears I am on the right side of history on this one.

Sepholio 08-02-2022 11:14 AM

None of you jerks have any right to celebrate this Nashvember. NONE OF YOU.

That's because there is only one choice to be made.

Accurate.

Sepholio 08-02-2022 11:18 AM

Feel really bad for Briscoes drawing the Harts.

#1-norm-fan 08-02-2022 11:43 AM

I don’t know which Briscoes it is but either way…

Sepholio 08-02-2022 05:04 PM

I BELIEVE it was the ROH Briscoes.

Sepholio 08-02-2022 05:05 PM

Ruien gets to celebrate Nashvember.

Bad News Gertner 08-02-2022 09:42 PM

Dream Team can't be stopped!

Sting Fan 08-02-2022 10:00 PM

Yikes at the Bucks jobbing to Brutus...

How anyone can vote for The Rockers over Harlem Heat amazes me.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-02-2022 10:06 PM

Ignorance and racism. Two things this forum does very well.

Not surprised.

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-02-2022 10:28 PM

Dream Team all the fucking way.

It’s an easy choice. Two of the best workers in the world, with a groundbreaking style (at least in North America), both incredibly over and really exciting to watch.

That, vs an excellent Booker T carrying a completely talentless Stevie Ray to tag team glory. Great look and a highlight in WCW, but it was all Booker. No contest when comparing them to two fantastic workers like Shawn/Marty.

I made a point to differentiate them as the Brisco Brothers and the Briscoes. Jack and Gerald Brisco are the NWA team. Mark and Jay Briscoe are the ROH Team.

Also, the Brisco Brothers lost in the first round to the Steiner Brothers.

Lock Jaw 08-02-2022 11:37 PM

You should have left the team members (when not obvious) in the brackets after the name like you did in the original thread.... would save me from having to look up half of these

Fair enough.

I voted for the Bar over the Headshrinkers, not because of anything against the Headshrinkers. I feel like The Bar as a team was solid. Cesaro could do any role depending on his partner, and Sheamus, while limited at this point, is always good.

As exciting as MCMG are, they had to face the equally exciting Bulldogs, who are also bigger than they are (pre and post steroids).

As fun as APA are, and as much as I love watching them murder Public Enemy, I had to go with Demolition. Again, one of my favorite tag teams of my youth.

I went with the Dream Team because A. Fuck the Bucks and B. Greg Valentine is one of the best workers there ever was. Beefcake wasn't bad at this point either. I feel like a lot of the derision he gets is from folks who only know him post-parasailing accident.

Briscoes is a great team. No doubt about it. One of the best. They aren't the Hart Foundation. And it was just an unfortunate draw for them.

Minnesota Wrecking Crew is just a legendary team, especially Ole and Gene. Ole is a miserable old bastard, but I love the knee drop off the top to the shoulder. Stud Stable is a good territory duo and, as much as I LOVE the Fuller Toehold (seriously, a personal favorite submission up there with the Jim Breaks Special), I can't in good conscience go against Gene and Ole Anderson.

I'm as big a fan of Nash as anyone else. But even then, I can't go against the Steiner Brothers. I still think about how Death Row (a large jobber) tried to sandbag them (actual sandbag, not the "sandbagging" that Thunder Rosa allegedly did), only to get rag dolled by them anyway because Rick and Scott were just strong as fuck.

I have nothing against the Rockers, great team that got the girls with their good looks and the guys with their cool moves. Harlem Heat was a bigger deal, IMO. They were the biggest draws in the GWF, behind the Patriot. Came to WCW and brought an intensity that got them over there, as well. They held more World Titles than the Rockers, as well.

Also, Mulkeymania is running wild!

I agree its an easy choice... Harlem Heat all the way

How dare that Fruit Booty insult the legend that is Stevie Ray.

Sepholio 08-03-2022 04:52 AM

Sting Fan is cordially invited to this years Nashvember Shindig/Hootenany Ho-down.

I agree with almost every decision you’ve made here, except I went Rockers over Harlem Heat. I just revisit more Rockers stuff. Not a knock on the significance of HH, but it’s just an unfortunate draw for them with me.

Vastardikai 08-04-2022 10:48 PM

Announcing the Winners:

The Bar
British Bulldogs
Demolition
Dream Team (FUCK YES!)
Hart Foundation
Minnesota Wrecking Crew
Steiner Brothers
Rockers

And the Winner of Everyone's Heart: The Mulkeys!

Group 2 is coming up momentarily.

Sepholio 08-04-2022 10:52 PM

VOTING FOR THE MULKEYS IN GROUP 2 AS WELL WOOOOOOO MULKEYS!

Vastardikai 08-04-2022 10:58 PM

I didn't put the Mulkeys in Group 2, but The Usos are taking on the team that eliminated them. So, just throwing that out there.
