What is the wildest thing you could see coming in 2023?

Thread title, basically. Just a bit more off the wall predictions that are somewhat plausible.

My big one is that the Usos lose the tag titles to Kevin Owens and El Generico. As in, Sami Zayn brings back the El Generico gimmick to take on the Usos, while Sami himself is either still in the Bloodline or he is run out of WWE by the same. The angle then becomes its obviously him, but it can't be "proven."

Tencent and Zuffa go halfsies and buy the WWF

Noid says “You know, that was pretty good” about something AEW does.

Helmsphere 11-28-2022 06:02 PM

Roman Reigns still being champion at the end of 2023.

Sepholio 11-28-2022 06:09 PM

Super Humman getting the shot he deserves in one of the big leagues.

Vastardikai 11-28-2022 08:46 PM

Yabo the Clown winning the All Atlantic Title. :shifty:

xrodmuc316 11-28-2022 10:52 PM

Teddy Hart commercial just aired during Raw. Not 2023 yet, but that is pretty wild.

"Wildman" Marc Mero returns to win the Royal Rumble

Rammsteinmad 11-29-2022 09:35 AM

Probably not the "wildest", but I'd really love to see some surprise Rumble entrants that we've never seen before. Guys like Ken Shamrock, Chris Masters, Rene Dupree or others from that era who haven't had a Rumble entry before would be cool.

Rammsteinmad 11-29-2022 09:35 AM

And maybe not those guys in particular, but just people from that kinda 1998-2005 period.

drave 11-29-2022 11:07 AM

Steve Blackman

Vastardikai 11-29-2022 11:38 AM

That thing Brian Last always alludes to comes out and we learn the truth about Omega.

Seconded.

Same with the inevitable nostalgia show for Raw’s 30th Anniversary. I’d like to see them do a sort of “Raw through the years” deal where they use the giant screen to make the stage look like the Raw arena era by era and have relevant stars appear through the night.

Even have some guys that played different gimmicks over the years appear in multiple gimmicks. We get Godfather quite often, would love to see Papa Shango in the first hour of the show.

Get Shamrock in for the Attitude Era portion as well as some others you rarely see and the usual suspects.

I can see something big going down business-wise. I don’t know if it will be a new company throwing it’s hat into the ring, or a developing nation throwing insane amounts of money at someone to put something together — but there’s just too much money in wrestling as relatively cheap content.

Helmsphere 11-29-2022 03:07 PM

Just go ahead and say The Rock starting his own wrestling company.

Nah ship has sailed on that.

Helmsphere 11-29-2022 06:15 PM

Val Venis starting his own wrestling company funded by pot?

Helmsphere 11-29-2022 06:16 PM

Or Doug Basham funding his own promotion from the trillions of imaginary dollars he's drawn?

Helmsphere 11-29-2022 06:23 PM

Also sadly seeing Tessa Blanchard finally being bought back to a company be it WWE, AEW, Impact or Doug Basham Bash Em promotion.

Sepholio 11-29-2022 06:31 PM

Speaking of Tessa, her being the one to finally take down the tribal chief.

Who’s ever said he’s drawn trillions of dollars? Him being a misused talent doesn’t mean he drew money, even in my imagination. Come on, Helmsphere.

Helmsphere 11-30-2022 08:04 AM

So you're saying even in your wild imagination, Doug Basham could never draw money.

So that would mean he was actually not misused and was used accordingly. Visa Vee.

Featuring such heels as a dead guy who voted for Biden 3 times “The Ballotfaker”, “Triple Vaxxed” and a stable made up of members of The Global Pedophile Elite.

When did anyone say that either?

Helmsphere 11-30-2022 03:06 PM

Ok, could Doug Basham draw with proper booking?

Sure. He was great in OVW. Good worker, passable promo. Trillions of dollars? Not sure about that. And not sure about that in 2023 when the dude is north of 50.

Do we get “Moscow Meltdown” or “Brawl in Beijing”?

Big Vic 12-01-2022 11:44 AM

White Hummer angle finally explained for no reason.

Okay more playable scenario for you. I have thirty bucks, I want to spend that on a Reality kings membership. Can you make him drawable enough to get my thirty dollars?

Just popping in to note that Bash ‘Em Wrestling is a fantastic promotion name

I don’t understand what you’re on about.

Mr. Nerfect 12-28-2022 04:35 PM

I can see Vince selling some of his WWE stock and buying Impact Wrestling via Alpha Entertainment.

Mr. Nerfect 12-28-2022 04:37 PM

Triple H starts his own version of WrestleMania. A new tentpole event.

Mr. Nerfect 12-28-2022 04:39 PM

Another thing I can see re: Impact Wrestling:

They manage to negotiate a spot on TBS or TNT. It provides them with more live entertainment programming in line with wrestling, people getting slapped in the face, etc.

Jordan 12-28-2022 06:12 PM

David Otunga becomes ALL ELITE and after his debut starts his own stable full of AEW stars who are capable of propelling Otunga to the main event where he belongs!

Sting Fan 12-28-2022 07:01 PM

Vince returns to WWE either in charge or in some capacity where hes not in charge but the product skews back towards Vince esque booking almost immediately.
