What is the wildest thing you could see coming in 2023?
Thread title, basically. Just a bit more off the wall predictions that are somewhat plausible.
My big one is that the Usos lose the tag titles to Kevin Owens and El Generico. As in, Sami Zayn brings back the El Generico gimmick to take on the Usos, while Sami himself is either still in the Bloodline or he is run out of WWE by the same. The angle then becomes its obviously him, but it can't be "proven." |
Tencent and Zuffa go halfsies and buy the WWF
Austin vs. Goldberg
Tiny Khan's Cocaine Overdose
Noid says “You know, that was pretty good” about something AEW does.
Roman Reigns still being champion at the end of 2023.
Super Humman getting the shot he deserves in one of the big leagues.
Yabo the Clown winning the All Atlantic Title. :shifty:

Teddy Hart commercial just aired during Raw. Not 2023 yet, but that is pretty wild.
"Wildman" Marc Mero returns to win the Royal Rumble
Probably not the "wildest", but I'd really love to see some surprise Rumble entrants that we've never seen before. Guys like Ken Shamrock, Chris Masters, Rene Dupree or others from that era who haven't had a Rumble entry before would be cool.
And maybe not those guys in particular, but just people from that kinda 1998-2005 period.

Steve Blackman

That thing Brian Last always alludes to comes out and we learn the truth about Omega.

Same with the inevitable nostalgia show for Raw’s 30th Anniversary. I’d like to see them do a sort of “Raw through the years” deal where they use the giant screen to make the stage look like the Raw arena era by era and have relevant stars appear through the night. Even have some guys that played different gimmicks over the years appear in multiple gimmicks. We get Godfather quite often, would love to see Papa Shango in the first hour of the show. Get Shamrock in for the Attitude Era portion as well as some others you rarely see and the usual suspects. |
I can see something big going down business-wise. I don’t know if it will be a new company throwing it’s hat into the ring, or a developing nation throwing insane amounts of money at someone to put something together — but there’s just too much money in wrestling as relatively cheap content.

Just go ahead and say The Rock starting his own wrestling company.

Val Venis starting his own wrestling company funded by pot?
Or Doug Basham funding his own promotion from the trillions of imaginary dollars he's drawn?
Also sadly seeing Tessa Blanchard finally being bought back to a company be it WWE, AEW, Impact or Doug Basham Bash Em promotion.
Speaking of Tessa, her being the one to finally take down the tribal chief.

So you're saying even in your wild imagination, Doug Basham could never draw money.
So that would mean he was actually not misused and was used accordingly. Visa Vee. |

Ok, could Doug Basham draw with proper booking?

I can see Vince selling some of his WWE stock and buying Impact Wrestling via Alpha Entertainment.
Triple H starts his own version of WrestleMania. A new tentpole event.
Another thing I can see re: Impact Wrestling:
They manage to negotiate a spot on TBS or TNT. It provides them with more live entertainment programming in line with wrestling, people getting slapped in the face, etc. |
David Otunga becomes ALL ELITE and after his debut starts his own stable full of AEW stars who are capable of propelling Otunga to the main event where he belongs!
Vince returns to WWE either in charge or in some capacity where hes not in charge but the product skews back towards Vince esque booking almost immediately.
