https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/and...me-1235559341/ I feel like I mention every year how overdue this is. It’s about fucking time. |
Especially with Lawler’s health problems, I’m glad they aren’t putting it off any longer.
Also, I can’t see any reason Jim Carrey would turn down accepting for him if he’s free. |
Still no Cyndi Lauper. Can't argue with Kaufman though
|
Thank you very much.

I assume Lawler's done well enough in his rehab from the stroke that they think he can go up there and do this.
Even if for some reason he couldn't, there's really no guarantee he'll be around another year so I can see wanting to make sure they did it while he was still alive. |
Jerry Jarrett just left us too so, if for whatever reason Lawler were unavailable, I'd assume the next choice would be Jimmy Hart.

If Lawler isn't available, Jimmy Hart would make sense too

Mona Flambé should be in next for sure.

I hope Tony Clifton accepts it for Andy.
Another possibility for inducting is Bill Apter. Also, Long overdue for Andy. Much of the major things that were put together by Vince happened piecemeal in other territories. Like the Entrances from Memphis, the Themes from Dallas, the outlandish gimmicks from Florida, the stars from the Carolinas and Minneapolis. Kaufman wanted to work for Vince Sr., but Sr. didn't see the value in it. |

But there have been years where they haven’t even done a celebrity inductee. That coupled with how much it would give them an excuse to push their women’s equality narrative makes it extra puzzling. I’m shocked Stephanie didn’t push hard for it when she was around. |
It's not like Cyndi Lauper is a nobody and she was on that Raw with Heath Slater and Wendi Richter
