I assume Lawler's done well enough in his rehab from the stroke that they think he can go up there and do this.

Even if for some reason he couldn't, there's really no guarantee he'll be around another year so I can see wanting to make sure they did it while he was still alive.

Jerry Jarrett just left us too so, if for whatever reason Lawler were unavailable, I'd assume the next choice would be Jimmy Hart.

Also, Long overdue for Andy. Much of the major things that were put together by Vince happened piecemeal in other territories. Like the Entrances from Memphis, the Themes from Dallas, the outlandish gimmicks from Florida, the stars from the Carolinas and Minneapolis. Kaufman wanted to work for Vince Sr., but Sr. didn't see the value in it.

Obviously the celebrity wing inductions are based mainly on how much mainstream attention they can draw and they probably just see Kid Rock and Snoop Dogg as more valuable in that regard.

But there have been years where they haven’t even done a celebrity inductee. That coupled with how much it would give them an excuse to push their women’s equality narrative makes it extra puzzling. I’m shocked Stephanie didn’t push hard for it when she was around.

Absolutely. I’m just saying it’s not surprising that Vince would hold off on inducting her in favor of Kid Rock or Snoop Dogg. As insanely stupid as it is by our logic. It’s the years where they didn’t have any celebrity inductees and just chose not to call her up that really makes it odd.
