Bloodline storyline (Amazing)
I don’t know when the last time I posted on here, but just came to say the Bloodline storyline has been amazing and has reenergized my interest in wrestling . The whole video package they played Money in the Bank before the tag match was really cool. It reminded me how good this whole storyline has been
You could make an argument it’s the greatest of all time ! Is this the overall opinion here as well? |
it has been a good 3 years can compete with the piper hogan feuds in the 80s or andy kaufman lawler feud
|
Feel like the whole thing has been diluted via just deciding to make another world title, and not doing a big push to finish it at WM.
I know people like a one on one match... but at WM I would have booked Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens vs Jey Uso in a four way. |

Where is this video package? has WWE posted it?
|
I think it’s the best written storyline they’ve ever done. Not the best booked, but the best written. I’m not watching every week. It feels like Zayn & Owens have been dropped from it. But it has been handled with about as much care as anything they’ve done in the 21st Century.
|
Was hoping Sami would take the title off of Roman at WM next year.

It’s made Roman the star he could have been for years. It’d boosted The Usos and given Solo a platform. It made Sami the hottest act in the industry for 6 months and should have been the thing to launch Cody. If the final chapter is to have Jey Uso be the one to dethrone Roman it’s great as a conclusion to the narrative arch but I can’t buy Jey as “The Guy”, and you’ve got to give this to someone who can be “The Guy” to make it all worthwhile. |

However I did see last night that WWE’s YouTube page posted like a 2 hour video on the history of the Bloodline. It’s really good |

SummerSlam is 5 weeks away. They already started the build for Brock vs Cody.
|
They could still be planning for wrestlemania 40. Although I don't know if they can keep this going that long. Then again I never would have guessed they'd keep it going as long as they have.

I think they have to end the saga at Mania for sure. I'd be curious how they are going to get there though. Obviously Jey is in line because of what happened at MITB. But him winning or losing at Summerslam just wouldn't feel right either way.
I'd personally love for it to be Jey since it really started with him. and he's a much better promo then Jimmy. I'm not a big Cody fan so I'm not gushing to see him dethrone Roman. I don't know who else you can put in there though. LA Knight  I love him, but it makes no sense right now lol |
I love this story. It has elevated Roman, The Usos, Solo, Sami (& by extension, Owens) so much.
I don't love the idea of Cody being the one to dethrone Roman. But that's more me not digging Cody as a main event guy than anything, I think. For the sake of the story, I think it has to be Jey Uso. I don't know how that stretches to WrestleMania, though, when it feels like this portion of the angle will be "done" well before that. |
Jey Uso Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Makes more sense than Jinder Mahal. Least they’ve done the investment of time with Jey. But one half of the Usos as champ? I can’t buy it right now.
And yeah, how do they stretch it another 9 months? |
And yes, if this were a Movie then 100% Jey beats Roman to finish the story. But it’s not.

Don’t know if it ends with Jey as champ or not. I’m sure it will be fine either way. They’re in an odd spot, because it’s not like you can just run with The Usos as tag champs and it will feel anything other than a sideways step. I guess they need to go somewhere with them as separate entities. Where else is there?
|
Goldberg beats Roman @ WM40

The Usos aren't in the tag title picture at the moment, so I think something like that could get people on board. |
Solo is also an option.
|
I can see Jimmy turning on Jey. But I can also see them convincing themselves that Jey is a babyface for the modern era. A large part of culture is identity, and a lot of Jey’s drama revolves around him contextualizing his identity and who he chooses to be versus who he was born to be.
After pinning Roman, it doesn’t make sense for him to not go for the title at SummerSlam. I guess we’ll see what happens there. |

lol or is that something Rikishi said in that interview when he was like "I'd love to be a part of it" and a few sites started saying "Rikishi rumored to be in the Bloodline?"
|
Rikishi over Roman at WrestleMania
|
Would be "funny" for them to build to a match where Roman will face a member of the family, and make it seem like The Rock, but then Rikishi comes out instead.
|
So many wrestlers dream of ever being anywhere near half-way as over as Rikishi’s ass.
|
Just have Rikishi run over whoever is doing the job and say he did it for the family.

I figured they’d have done something with Rikishi by now like having Roman lock him in the choke. Maybe they’ve held it off until now.
|
Ooh, Stone Cold can run someone over with a truck as revenge.

Remember that time Noid was legit pissed off that The Rock didn't show up on a show he wasn't advertised for and obviously wasn't gonna be at?
|
Or the time he was pissed off at rasslin in general when also admitting to not watching anything at all?
we all know he does tho :shifty: |
Wait til The Rock goes on record that he’s not going to be starting a new wrestling company that will take the business back to it’s peak. Man will be in shambles.

Wait, I may have given a Raw and a SmackDown a chance. But no, I don’t watch wrestling. And Daddy’s not mad, just disappointed.
