What do you guys want to see in 2004?
I like to see Benoit become champion, Jericho turn face, HHH turn face :roll: Goldberg stops wrestling, Cena becomes a champ 2, and hopefully a new exciting wrestler who will rock the wrestling industry we can only wait and see what happens :)

Here's what I'm hoping for:
Eddie, Cena, and Benoit all get elevated to the main event level, and all be champions at least once next year. Ultimo Dragon to be used better than he is. Ditto with Sean O'Haire, Spanky & London, and Rhyno. Jericho to turn face and win the World Heavyweight Championship. WrestleMania XX, I'm hoping will live up to the hype. Rock-Cena, with Cena going over. Orton-Foley, with Orton going over.\ HHH becomes a successful hollywood actor, and decides that he's done it all in wrestling, and only appears about as much as the Rock does. |
No Goldberg.
No A-Train. No Big Show. No Hunter with strap. More air time for guys like London, Spanky, FBI, Akio, Ultimo Dragon, Rey, Sean O'Haire, Christian, Matt Hardy, Molly, Steven Richards, Hurricane, Victoria, Psicosis, Rhyno, Kanyon, Rico, Haas, La Résistance, Benjamin, and Maven. Better pushes/World Title runs/Other titles, etc for guys like Angle, Benoit, Cena, Orton, Batista, Haas, Guerrero, RVD, Jericho, and Booker T. Improvement mic wise for Haas, Batista, Orton, Lesnar, Maven, and Benoit. Improvement in-ring for Matt Morgan, Rodney Mack, Steven Richards, Test, Rosey, Mark Henry, Jamie Noble, Maven, La Résistance, WGTT, Chavo Guerrero, and John Heineindiderscmizal. Better storylines, less involving Hunter/Evolution. Better use of workers that they have. Putting better focus on the intense Cruiser division. Less focused on T&A, more so on skills. Less Shock and Awe, more shockingly and awe-inspiring matches. /MAYBE/ end the roster split. Get Steph and Hunter out of the Booking and Writing jar. Less McMahon TV air time. Not letting a McMahon wrestle. Period. Give Linda decent acting skills. Less reviving off old storylines from WCW, Attitude Era, or ECW. No more Austin... If Rock comes back, have him DO something. A year half ass decent PPV Let Flair retire. Let 'Taker retire. Quit killing off characters and storylines that could have been good (Goldberg, Kane). Don't book someone down because you don't like them, do it because they aren't very good (Rhyno). Less wrestlers controlling backstage politics. Let Nash go before he hurts us too. Don't ever let Bradshaw do his appearence or speak. I can probably think of more later, just my stuff.. |
Indy promotions get a natinoal TV deal and give WWE competition.

Realistically:
-The Benoit angle getting the big payoff at Wrestlemania with Benoit finally getting the WWE Title -Chris Jericho's face turn leading somewhere besides the Intercontinental Division -Goldberg/Rob Van Dam not re-signing with WWE. Losing one of their most popular faces could really be a wake-up call that something's amiss on Raw -Triple H getting seriously injured. I know that sounds cold-hearted, but that seems like pretty much the only way he'll stay out of the Title picture -Booker T getting his dues and winning the World Heavyweight Title before he retires -Jonathan Coachman replacing Jerry Lawler -Rey Mysterio getting at least the US Title -NO MCMAHON MATCHES -Foley going over Orton. I know I'm going to catch some hate for that, but I simply don't think Orton will be what WWE wants him to be. They're grooming him to be their next Golden Boy, but I quite frankly don't think he can carry a good match, much less a whole show. I don't see the point in having Foley come back to get humiliated by a guy whose skills are the equivalent of wrestling oatmeal. -The Undertaker getting one last big run (not with the title) and then retiring. -Billy Kidman and Ultimo Dragon getting back onto Smackdown |
Beginning to Mid 2004
John Cena becomes the top mid-carder for Smackdown. Randy Orton becomes the top mid-carder for Raw. Chris Benoit has a descent run as WWE Champion on Smackdown. Booker T, RVD, and Jericho all get main event pushes on Raw. Triple H does not hold the title ONCE in the year. The Undertaker comes back using his Phenom gimmick as a way to tease Kane's tortured mind. Cruiser Weight division picks up big time. More Nipple Slips. Mid - End of 2004 John Cena drops the US Title and joins the Main Event roster, winning the WWE title at Wrestlemania. Randy Orton aslo joins the main event roster for Raw after a fued with Triple H and Ric Flair. The fued starts with Orton going over Batista. Chris Benoit remains in the main event picture. Booker, RVD, and Jericho remain in the main event picture and atleast 2 of the 3 have held the world title. Triple H pulls a hamstring.... twice. Wouldn't mind seeing a fresh new stable too. And lastly... HBK is still wrestling good matches. When HBK finally does hang up the boots and tights I'd like to see him win a main event calibur match and celebrate in the ring for a good 10 minutes like he did after the Royal Rumble in San Antonio. Not saying it'll happen in 2004 but if it does that's how I'd like to see it happen. Oh Yeah... Stone Cold Steve Austin over Goldberg at Wrestlemania. |

2. Both Jericho (as a face) and RVD having World title runs 3. Cena becoming WWE champ 4. Undertaker having his one final run as oldschool evil Undertaker and not losing at Wrestlemania event 5. Shannon Moore's push to continue further, love that kid |

RVD finishes the job on HHH. Um...I'll think of more. This is just what immediately came to mind. |
