What Matches would you put on the Bret Hart DVD?
 

I know most of us have just got The Hall of Fame DVD or are waiting the 2 long months for chris benoits hard knocks DVD but eventually the Bret Hart DVD will be out and its gonna be a 3 disc set so what matches would you put on there?

P.S i am not including matches already on other DVDS like Summerslam 92 or SS 97 or Summerslam 94

I'm not saying your selection is bad but I dont think I'd have 3 Hart/Backlund matches on there. Although I liked the angle, I think it would get a little repetitive to see 3 of their matches in a row. Even though I know they werent all the same kind of match.

Also I see you put quite a few matches on there and I think if they made it like the Flair DVD, it wouldnt have that many matches. Dont get me wrong I really liked the Flair DVD but it didnt have anything close to the numebr of matches you put on your list for the Hart DVD.

I'm hoping this match wouldnt be included basically because I already got it on the HBK DVD, so even though I know it would be on the Hart DVD, I'd rather see a different Hart/HBK match :)

Yeah I understand your point but I mean that was a really great match.

Rock/Triple H owns that match.

I'd take off two of the Backlund matches and add the cage match against Owen at SummerSlam '94. Also, add the tag match against the Quebecers where Owen kicked Bret's leg out from under his leg because he was too damn selfish.

TIL, you gotta stop that man. If the wrestlers flat out say the match with Bret/HBK was the best of the iron man matches, then they were..what better opinions then that of other wrestlers?

BTW, a Bret dvd must include "canadian stampede", the finest moment of the Hart Foundation. A truly great match.

They should atleast include his first match that they have available. Then they should also have ones like.....

Sure he didnt win the iron man match but it was still one of the best matches I have ever seen in my life. Those are just 3 matches that they should put on this huge DVD. I cant wait for it.

How bout Bret/HBK at Survivor Series 1997 :shifty:

I wish they could have this match I saw at a house show in Pittsburgh... Bret vs the Mountie for the IC title... basically the Mountie took the mic and started bellowing about how great he was, then turning his back, starting beating his chest with his shock-stick thingy and screamed "because I AM THE MOUNTIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" at which point Bret nailed him with a rollup and won. The look on Bret's face was fantastic the whole time, he seemed about a second away from falling over laughing.

And you know, I haven't seen any Bret vs Yokozuna mentions anywhere, I know none of them were exactly clinics as far as pure wrestling goes, but they did serve to prove that Bret could have good matches with all kinds of opponents. Besides, Bret vs Yoko was a feud that took up something like a year of Bret's career and deserves a nod.

My opinion matters more to me than the wrestlers' opinions.

The drama in the Bret/HBK match was lacking because neither guy would take a fall for the other one. It turned into: armbar, armbar, armbar variation, with Bret not selling all the armbars. Because Rocky was down in his match with Triple H there was actually a sense of urgency and desperation. Plus, the rest holds actually mattered (sleeper, anyone?).

Nothing touches the first 8 months of 2000 WWF (minus KOTR). Nothing.
