WWE issues John Bradshaw Layfield apology
World Wrestling Entertainment issued a public apology on its web site Tuesday morning for John Bradshaw Layfield’s Nazi-related gestures last weekend on a show in Munich, Germany.
“WWE and John Layfield deeply regret Mr. Layfield's actions in the ring at our event in Munich, and apologize if it has offended or upset our fans,” the statement said. “Mr. Layfield has been reprimanded for his actions.” The type of sanctions was not specified. In an apparent attempt to draw crowd heat during his match against Eddie Guerrero, numerous eyewitness reports said Layfield goose-stepped around the ring and raised his arm in a Hitler salute. Such actions are illegal in Germany, although no criminal charges were brought against Layfield after the show. Reported by Alex Marvez |
Yeah... sure he's been reprimanded, but when Eddie gets frustrated he gets fined. And when Raven doesn't satisfy management he's fired. And when Ultimo Dragon doesn't live up to what Vince expects, he's buried.
But Bradshaw just gets a reprimand.   |
His match should be scrapped and he should be forced to only appear in Velocity for at least a month
|
BTW WWE has since taken this apology off the site :|
|
Ha! I knew they didn't mean it.
I'll bet geeky 12 year olds hacked the site and put it up. |
Yeah, it's possible

"We here at WWE deeply apologize for pushing John Bradshaw Layfield into a main event spot, headlining two consecutive pay-per views. We apologize to any fans we have offended."

Yeah but at the same time they would be such hypocrites to fine/suspend Bradshaw for what he did. All he has to do is claim ignorance to the issue, just like the WWE did with the Hirohito thing.
What the WWE really needs is some international business training. As it so happens, Ive gradutaed from University with that as one of my minors, so I'm willing to help, for a price of course. |
Bradshaw needs to have his head smashed in with a tire iron. I think I'm just the man for the job.

They (Bradshaw and WWE) are lucky, he could quite easily have been arrested. Although then he might have been pushed even harder in an ex-con gimmick

From the TPWW newsboard:
- John Layfield was fired from CNBC after investigating the incident in Munich. For those of you have not read the reports here, Layfield mimic Adolf Hitler during the WWE’s tour in Germany over the weekend. A spokesperson from CNBC was said they found his behavior to be offensive, inappropriate and not befitting anyone associated with our network. WWE issued the following statement on their website earlier today, and then removed it: “WWE and John Layfield deeply regret Mr. Layfield’s actions in the ring at our event in Munich, and apologize if it has offended or upset our fans. Mr. Layfield has been reprimanded for his actions.” Atleast some action has been taken, must be a big shock to his ego. |
