Finally saw this just now (thank you, The Miz). Wow, absolutely blown away.

From beginning to end, I was like, "wow this movie is great". Not one "boring" part in the entire thing. Fucking great.

Dustin Hoffman is amazing in it too. I DUNNO JUST A GREAT MOVIE.

Basically, it's about a guy who moves to England to escape the violence in America but once he's there, he and his wife are harrassed by a group of locals who they hired to fix up their new house. The guy, who is passive, ignores it, but they keep fucking with him and pushing him to the edge until he finally lashes out.

It's banned in the UK for its controversial content and violence. The entire movie reminded me a lot of A Clockwork Orange in a lot of ways. They even premiered like 10 days within each other. Also, Edward Norton is going to star in a remake of it called Fear Itself some time in 2005.

Just good shit.

It's not banned here.

It used to be, our film censor's wanted the rape scene to be cut down but the makers of teh film didn't want it to be cut and so it was banned as a 'video nasty'.

It would have been better with more tension in the final scene at the home. As it is, still a great movie.

I finally got round to downloading it - pretty fucking good, although the rape sceen and violence is not extreme by todays standards, it's still pretty fucked up.

There is a good DVD rip on Loki Torrent with all the DVD extras. Definatly worth a look.
