Franz Ferdinand

Check these guys out, just a quality rock band

First single is Take me out. Listen to the whole song before judging it cause the first minute is a bit generic then it picks up quite a bit.

OssMan 06-21-2004 01:54 AM

they are the men.

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 01:56 AM

Welcome to two months ago.

The Icon of Elisim 06-21-2004 02:01 AM

I guess they haven't broke into Canada then cause I have yet to hear them on the radio or music channels

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 02:14 AM

I don't even know if they've done it here, either.

It was more that they've already been hyped.

The Icon of Elisim 06-21-2004 02:23 AM

How so?

I'm just interested to see how they've been hyped thus far

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 02:24 AM

I mean on here. By ECG.

Plus, they're being pushed by Wal-Mart. I suppose that is a form of hype.

Triple A 06-21-2004 02:31 AM

Their video is playing on MTV every time I pass by it.

Triple A 06-21-2004 02:31 AM

And they were on Conan the other night.

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 03:20 AM

Damn. That might have been worth sitting through Whitey Mcbland.

el fregadero 06-21-2004 05:47 AM

Excuse me, Mr. Knight.

Triple A 06-21-2004 05:56 AM

Kane Knight's sense of humor is better than ours.

Danny Electric 06-21-2004 10:27 AM

They're massive in the UK, they played my uni about a couple of months ago, really wanted to go to see what they were like live.

Jonster 06-21-2004 10:28 AM

Their album's alright, but it gets a bit boring.

El Capitano Gatisto 06-21-2004 01:32 PM

I got the album when it came out. Good stuff, but it isn't really the type of music you can sit and listen to time after time.

They are brilliant live.

The Destroyer 06-21-2004 01:39 PM

Another of the many Scottish bands that I don't give a shit about....

Probably a direct clash with 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster, and clashes with The Starting Line and Bouncing Souls in the Concrete Jungle, only for about 10 minutes of Bouncing Souls though

Cool
80's Matchbox are a good band but I'd see Franz Ferdinand.
Thank God that they're not playing the same time as Coheed. :)

Cactus Sid 06-21-2004 02:22 PM

They'll probably be about a half an hour apart
